I've been trying to come up with a descriptive term for this cloud pattern. it's not quite fish (maybe if image is rotated?) and not quite honeycomb. I'm thinking 'Coral sky' might be a good descriptor - anyone know of any other descriptive terms for this?

I am pretty confident that we will not get a hurricane in the next 6 days. I'm all also pretty confident we do not see anything in the MDR rest of the season. El Niño grip is very strong.

With this kind of shear pattern over the MDR, you can pretty much forget about any type of Cape Verde season.

Right now something like this would be more realistic than anything from the tropics. Something to watch - at some point we will see something like this.
