Howdy! My name is Mac and I like video games, strange and whimsical creatures, and celebrating artists. I'm sorry I'm advance if you think I'm hot, because I will make that worse for you. ✨💚

A large number of bad KH takes come from people's lack of ability to recognize unreliable narrators and divorce their own knowledge from what a character is experiencing. If you start seeing the stories through the character's eyes you understand them much better.

The BBS trio gets the most shit in this regard because players refuse to see events through their eyes. Terra is a great example of a character most people just straight up do not understand. The unreliable narrator thing makes a lot of people make up claims of retcons.

I'm also very passionate about the way people talk about the ending of KH2. You can prefer the idea that certain characters are entirely doomed by their unfair fate, but ultimately the sentiment that everyone deserves live their own life is more in line with what KH is about.
