The market is beginning to realise #SML is vastly undervalued compared to its #London peers .
#TUN market cap - ÂŁ730m
#GMET market cap - ÂŁ280m
#SML market cap - ÂŁ170m
Looking at the NPV -
#TUN is around $1.7bn using a price of $2000
#GMET is $600m using a price of $2000
#SML is over $3.5bn using the same $2000 price metric.
The market always gets it right in the end. However, until #SML fully catches up with its peer valuations, investors continue to enjoy a large discounted entry point. #SML #Cornwall #Tungsten

Redmoor RNS Breakdown
#SML #Tungsten
Redmoor’s extensive infill drilling programme - at 22,500m - the largest, continuous, diamond drilling programme from surface delivered in Cornwall, has reached 5,000m drilled to date.
Passing the total meters drilled in our highly successful 2025 drill programme.
With 3 rigs onsite, rhe programme is on schedule and within budget, and to date has reported positive results from 3 holes, with many more to come.
Completed holes to date have all intersected the Sheeted Vein System deposit as planned and @CornwallRes’s geologist have visually logged mineralisation consistent with Redmoor’s high-grade nature - results pending.
Other programme activities continue, with more commencing, aimed at contributing to Redmoor’s prefeasibility study.

More thoughts below on STRATEGIC MINERALS and why they represents the most logical bolt-on acquisition for TUNGSTEN WEST following last week's landmark investment by the UK Government.
Background -
The UK tungsten sector has undergone a seismic shift in the past week or so. On 25th August, holding Tungsten West secured up to ÂŁ71M from the UK government's NWF to restart the Hemerdon mine in Devon - a transaction that crystallises the UKs intent to build a domestic tungsten supply chain independent of China. That single event has profound read through implications for holding Strategic Minerals and its nearby Tungsten-Tin-Copper project in Cornwall.
Strategic Minerals, extradionary economics on current knowns (pre PFS) -
Zeus Capital's DCF at $850/mtu (4x below current Tungsten prices) and 1Mt/yr throughput generates an NPV10 of $1.75BN for Redmoor and risked at 30%. At spot tungsten prices, the unrisked NPV would be multiples of this figure.
SML's base-case NPV of $1.54BN at $1,200/mtu is itself 2.6x below current metal prices.
Why the variation? Zeus models 1.0 Mt/yr versus SML's own 0.6 Mt/yr. Higher throughput brings revenues and cashflows forward in time, which has a disproportionately positive effect on NPV particularly at a 10% discount rate.
SML's economic sensitivity analysis is pre PFS and indicates the scale of potential value at Redmoor. These figures will be refined, and potentially revised materially as this study completes. Zeus Capital identifies the PFS as "a major rerating point for the project" converting Inferred resources to Indicated, validating cost assumptions, and delivering bankable economics.
Tungsten West -
TUN's latest presentation confirms a post-tax NPV7.5% of $1.69BN at $1,313/mtu WO3 - a dramatic improvement on the FS25 base case of $190m at $400/mtu. This of course is based on a declared Ore Reserve with production fully ramping into 2027.
"Grade is King" -
Strategic's Redmoor deposit is Europe's highest-grade undeveloped tungsten project among all CRIRSCO-compliant projects. A 17.4Mt resource at 0.49% WO3 (0.65% WO3 Eq) was announced in March - a 49% increase in tonnage and contained metals versus prior estimates. The Tungsten high-grade domains at 7.30Mt at 0.98% WO3 Eq are exceptional by any global standard. What separates Redmoor from virtually every other undeveloped tungsten project globally is the extraordinary grade of individual intercepts, which speak to the potential for ultra-high-grade mining zones within the broader resource envelope.
The grade differential between the two projects is transformational. On a like-for-like, whole-deposit basis - the only truly comparable measure at this stage - SML's overall resource at 0.49% WO3 grades 4.1x TUN's total resource grade of 0.12% WO3 and 3.3x TUN's blended Ore Reserve grade of 0.15% WO3. SMLs Tungsten high-grade domains (a specific sub-domain) of 7.30Mt at 0.83% WO3 (0.98% WO3 Eq) grade approximately 4.6x that figure and more than 5.5x the blended Ore Reserve average of TUNs 0.15% WO3. These are sub-domain comparisons and should be read as such but they illustrate the exceptional grade concentration within Redmoor's resource envelope.
Ultimately, the grade differential generates more metal per tonne processed, lower unit costs per tonne of metal produced, higher NSR per tonne of ore, and as the economic studies confirm superior returns on capital. Within SMLs resource, the 7.30Mt at 0.98% WO3 Eq (0.83% WO3) is one of the highest-grade undeveloped tungsten resources anywhere in the world. To contextualise 0.83% WO3 (the domain average, not the peak), the global average grade of operating tungsten mines is approximately 0.15–0.25% WO3, placing the high grade domains at 3.3–5.5x the global operating average. China's primary tungsten mines, which supply approximately 80% of global production, typically operate at grades of 0.15–0.40% WO3.
Redmoor is still Growing -
17.4Mt at 0.49% WO3 is not the final word on the deposit with a major drilling campaign currently underway. 22,500m is the target (and the largest in Cornwall's modern history) and is specifically designed to:
- Convert Inferred resources to Indicated category, which will not change the grade but will increase confidence and reduce the risk discount applied by the market
- Test the Exploration Target of 1.8–3.4Mt grading 0.4–0.6% WO3 outside the current MRE boundary
- Drill the North Tin Zone, a newly confirmed mineralised structure entirely separate from the SVS, with intercepts of 4.00m @ 0.25% Sn (Tin)
- Test depth extensions below the current resource envelope, where the mineralised granite roof zone intersected in CRD044 suggests continued mineralisation at depth.
Takeover target? -
Tungsten West, now fully funded and de-risked, is the credible near-term acquirer of Redmoor. Cashflows soar at TUN as production ramps and a combined TUN/SML entity would represent a far more compelling strategic asset and a more defensible investment for the NWF. The NWFs investment in TUN is explicitly framed within the UK government's industrial strategy and its ambition to rebuild domestic critical mineral supply chains. The political economy would strongly favour consolidation rather than two separate AIM-listed developers competing for the same government attention.
The thesis is straightforward. Hemerdon provides material scale and near-term cash flow (a 327Mt of resource, a declared 70.7Mt Ore Reserve) and Redmoor provides grade and longevity with its current 17.4Mt at 0.49% WO3. Ultimately, I see this transaction as the logical next step in building a vertically integrated, UK-domiciled tungsten champion. A combined entity producing tungsten across two distinct geological settings, diversifying operational risk while maximising UK output.
That said, other parties - including European or Asian strategic buyers seeking Western tungsten supply could emerge as competing bidders ahead.
Hope helpful.

Super news for holding Tungsten West this week and the read across for Strategic Minerals (the other large Tungsten holding in the portfolio) is significant.
There’s little commentary or noise on X but the shares are re-rating again. I will look to add a few more thoughts on this in due course, I continue to see major upside ahead.
Bit of a long piece but hopefully helpful to holders and those who don't.
For STRATEGIC MINERALS, the monster headline from the recent Zeus analysis is that the company can generate today's £183MILLION market cap in cashflow post tax in 8-9 months of production. Cumulative post tax cashflow comes in at a massive >$3.2BILLION with the staggering piece being that it's based on a Tungsten price of $850/mtu and NOT the current >$3,000/mtu levels. It is an extreme valuation anomaly resulting in the shares being totally mispriced right now. It is therefore of no surprise that Zeus recently moved to 14.9p from 4.8p but that's still only 30% of nav and at $850 Tungsten. To quote them "returns will be astronomical if the spot price can be maintained". All of this doesn't factor in too the very realistic scope for further growth upside and from satellite developments within the licenced area. "Together the consistent intersection of the SVS, confirmation of mineralised continuity into new areas and the identification of additional high‑grade tin all point towards the potential for further resource growth".
Finer details matter so couple of things regarding the numbers. The cashflow post tax model doesn't include a list of things so time to cover that off immediately (but again remember we're working off very big numbers and $850/mtu, NOT spot!). What's missing that needs capturing? That list comprises working capital movements, mine closure/rehabilitation provisions, UK environmental bonds and of course capex contingencies. But even after such deductions the numbers are still huge with free cash likely well north of the current market cap. If strong prices or even today's pricing persists into production then you're looking at a scenario where yearly free cash flows will be many multiples of today's market cap.
For those that have done the work already, this will all resonate (in part or full) but for others that's clearly pretty striking data. Quite simply, the numbers are very big vs the current price tag.
Analysts at Zeus just said in their upgrade to 14.9p: "Despite its high-grade of tungsten and its recent improvement in valuation Strategic Minerals remains the lowest valued of all of the companies we identify in our series - especially when set against several of it’s competitor companies which are further back on the development curve as we see it"
"It is hitting all the points we expect in a high priority project – it is high-grade; it is open along strike and at depth; it lies in an area known for historical mining and which needs further inward investment; it has tacit local and government support, and; it is progressing in a very robust tungsten price environment – and an environment in which we see demand only set to increase against a poor supply outlook"
So now time now to look a bit closer at some of the detail in the recent 29 page Zeus upgrade.
Firstly to the numbers and cashflow. WO3 is 85% of revenue so overwhelmingly a Tungsten story. Again, they use $850/mtu for their full production run vs todays record highs >$3,000. Very sensible but illustrates the magnitude of upside too. Tin and Copper assumptions are at $35,000/t and $10,000/t which again is also below spot. Other assumptions include broadly 1MT/yr throughput and a 16-year Life of mine (compared to SMLs 0.6MT/yr and 29-years). Mine site costs yearly at $105m vs $510m net revenues equate to very high margins. That amounts to $0.21 of cost per $1 of revenue and again at just $850/mtu. That's exceptional albeit I would elevate sustaining capex higher. Ebitda with 76% margins would be world class. Pre production capex of $140m vs SMLs $110m which is clearly very light and a major positive for a project of this scale.
So what next? Well the shares remain cheap and should re-rate much higher to reflect the economics of this play. It's not just that though, it's recognition that Tungsten is one of the worlds most strategically critical metals with China controlling over 80% of global supply. Entire Western defence and manufacturing industry depends on it. Through STRATEGIC MINERALS, the UK hosts one of the highest grades globally of this metal.
A big topic and one that needs to considered too is could STRATEGIC attract an ITM Power-style investment from the UK? Most definitely but probably through different mechanisms. Some thoughts as follows and split to bullets for ease:
- National Wealth Funds investments into Cornish critical minerals have already been confirmed with Cornish Lithium twice and Cornish Metals once - totalling ÂŁ84m. The NWFs stated purpose is to de-risk projects and crowd in private capital. They say "We will work with UK PuFins to identify ways in which critical minerals projects with high potential and strategic value can be supported more effectively by government in a more coherent way"
- SML has already received UK Shared Prosperity funding so the government relationship very much exists. Further grants and council grants are probable given the material value created to date. Worth noting that the company recently hosted the MP and Minister for Small Business and Economic Transformation too.
- Tungsten’s defence criticality is more acute than tin or lithium so there's a stronger strategic case imo.
- The ÂŁ50m DBT critical minerals fund details to be announced in 2026 and timing aligns with SMLs PFS completion. Chatham House has been precise about what this fund actually is and that's "explicitly framed as catalytic capital". Ultimately, it could be a supplementary grant mechanism that sits alongside any NWF equity investment and UKEF financing.
- The numbers so far clearly make a very compelling lending case! Any debt is repaid rapidly and it's a polymetallic deposit too. Ultimately, revenue diversification which reduces lender risk.
Anyway, I could go on and one but its time to stop, it's Sunday after all. I have banged the drum for a while on this but recent news flow really does highlight how undervalued this is. Yes, the shares are moving up fast and volume is regularly in the highest range but the disconnect is vast compared to the asset, what it can achieve compared to todays valuation.
Exciting times and I trust some of this is useful.

zeuscapital.co.ukA few more paragraphs on this...
STRATEGIC MINERALS #SML at current valuation levels are a sitting duck as one of the highest graded Tungsten plays globally with the deposit remaining open along strike and depth! A multi decade mine life, an orebody that very likely expands and ÂŁBillions in cumulative free cash expected at a fraction of todays metal price.
One has to also note that holding TUNGSTEN WEST #TUN (which soon goes into production) is set to make much of its market cap in free cash each year! Analysts are already talking about how it's going to distribute as the optionality will be immense (production capacity, dividends, buyback but also M&A). Zeus in their recent report highlighted that at just $680/mtu the company will make free cash of $100m per annum but pricing right now is c.$3,000/mtu!
High profile investor and Australian billionaire Greg Coffey (“the wizard of Oz”) owns 3.34% of Strategic and 15.57% of Tungsten West. And fwiw, Coffey recently provided funding for the first phase restart of fines gravity processing at Hemerdon.
Very very happy to be in both and I'm sure it's not just me?
