ALT Revisiting the positive energy cultivated during MADCO's virtual event HAND IN HAND and overjoyed with audience participation and conversation. COVID-19 has forced the arts to find new ways to share performance and expression. Without the necessity to think outside of the box, we would not have been able to share this experience with everyone around the country. Thank you for joining us in exposing topics not well known or understood to many and being a part of developing the dialogue in our community. Looking for another opportunity to see MADCO perform from the comfort of your living room? Join MADCO and other incredible artists JULY 9, 10, 11 at 6:30 PM for NextCore's Streamathon to celebrate St. Louis' small businesses and nonprofits. ALT HAND IN HAND is a three-day interactive concert taking place virtually June 18th, 19th and 20th from 7 to 9 pm. Each evening MADCO's dancers, choreographers, and other professionals gather to discuss American history in effort to understand the present, what to say when you don't know what to say, and forward movement to a better future. Excerpts from previous MADCO concerts influence topics such as Juneteenth, black self-hate, being the token black friend, willful ignorance, education reform, voting, and sources to educate yourself further, to name a few. MADCO is opening this virtual platform for other artists to share their work inspired by social justice, civil unrest, unity, and creating societal change. #handinhand #speakupspeakout #BLM #dare #dance #discover
