Very funny to reconnect with old friends around people who didn’t know you when u were younger bc I’ll reference my ugly duckling phase and new friends will be like nooooo I’m sure it wasn’t that badddd and old friend will be like lmao no it was and also u were a loser
Disposable income is dangerous, sometimes you’ll make impulse purchases and you won’t even regret them
This isn’t to say I’m a millennial either just that the divide between generations is so arbitrary that it becomes funny
Hfkdhd a coworker will call me gen z bc I’m the youngest person in the office and then back it up with the official cut off of “1997-2012” but its so ridiculous like look me in the eye and tell me with a straight face I have more in common with a kid born in the 2010s than w/ you

It was a little slow getting back in bc lots of people to funnel through a small space and keeping everything safe, but I was just past the metal detectors when lftos starts
All my love to the staff of the event, this was not an easy situation to handle, there was so much to try and coordinate last minute but they did their best and got the show back on and people where they needed to be ❤️ thank you for the work that let us have this night
Okay so back to order of events. everyone trying to get back in but the crowd was much smaller after the 1.5hr wait and ppl are pretty calm, just buzzing with excitement and relief. chatting with people around us, great energy that lasted the entire show
I was and continue to be so so elated that I even got to see them play again. but a moment of silence for the songs that couldn’t be with us on this rainy July night
Speaking of, hum hallelujah is a fave and the last few set lists switched it out for bang the doldrums which i would also die to see so I was so conflicted bc it seemed like we wouldn’t get both but I didn’t know which one so I was already trying to cope. Turns out neither 😫😭
I can’t even imagine if we’d left and gotten word halfway home that the show was back on i wouldve never recovered
Nothing was loading, couldn’t get tweets or radar or anything. Then like 1020 rain has lightened and I hear people start screaming and climbing out of cars. Not only do we get a show but I get to be smug that me being stubbornly hopeful kept us there for it so that’s fun
~20 min in there was an update that they were continuing to monitor. so small bloom of hope. And then no word for like another 45 mins. Absolute agony. ~10pm we were on the verge of leaving but forecast finally showed it clearing in about 20min so I begged to wait a bit longer
Post sounded like they wanted to go on with the show, and we were planning on being home late anyways so I wanted to stick it out and see on the off chance they’d play. It didnt seem likely with how much lightning there was, and right away there were a lot of ppl leaving
Like seriously 5 min before show starts and then in the space of a few minutes it’s an absolute downpour. Advised to shelter in place, and check the venues socials for updates. Which would’ve been easier if there was any cell coverage in the area but alas
I’d been checking the weather all week bc outdoor venue and I knew it showed a small chance of rain for an hour or two but the kicker is that the weather was perfect all night. Immaculate. Perfect temp, sunshine, all of it. RIGHT UP UNTIL 9:05
