Wrote some more about how we're using AI @_HouseofGiants We had a massive amount of HoG history to throw at our company brain. And the very AI brained thing to do would have been to shove all of it into the system and call that memory. I almost went that direction, because it feels productive. You have a folder full of old work, the agent can search it, and the dumb little voice in your head starts going, hell yeah, company brain. That wasn't the case 👇 teapaw.org/Magnificode/status/206…

Holy shit the desktop app is SLICK
*ehm ehm* BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS DAY 📣 two new things cooking in herdr labs 🐏🧪 a brand new herdr-core, and a desktop app built on it. open source. first, the app: software that fits you. every part of it is a file your agent can change. you just ask.

Ohhhhh this is exciting...I've been loving building with tanstack lately.
TanStack DB 1.0 RC1 is out! Backend data that feels local: typed collections, live queries, and edits that show up instantly, then sync. Start with your REST API. Add persistence, offline writes, and real-time sync later. Your queries stay the same.

Lil walkthrough of the progress() CSS property. Excellent for handling fluid typography.

Took a look at the progress() property today. Fluid typography is getting easier and easier to manage. Cool to be able to more easily pin it to the container width too.

PHP Factories were always better than AI factories will ever be. Prove me wrong.

I too have been exceptionally impressed with the quality of code coming out of Opus 5.5...
I know this happens every time, but it is genuinely hard for me to imagine what a model better than Opus 5.5 will look like

It's funny to see software you've used for a decade ship more updates in the past 6 months than they did in the previous nine and half years as they slow roll AI best practices into their teams.

SO much has happened in the past week

Renaming AI to SI is almost as dumb as renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America...

This is pretty rad
Made a real-time presentation coach with Jev. It listens as you present, follows your slides and notes, and keeps track of what’s still left to say.

I feel like I'm being trolled every time I read about Jev.

Like, if I look into it at all someone's going to jump through my window and be like "LOL YOU THOUGHT JEV WAS A REAL THING PEOPLE ARE USING YOU DESPERATE IDIOT"

What’s the saying? If you run into one asshole, they’re an ass hole. If everyone you run into is an asshole, you’re the asshole.
Founder advice: If you don't have a coup attempt every few years, you're not hiring strong enough leaders.

How fucking miserable is this going to be to develop for, holy shit.

These things are simultaneously cool and horrifying.

looking at all the stuff programmers have been building since AI unleashed them is a great reminder of why product people exist

Just sat down by this sick ass church that was built in 1550 and took 256 years to be completed so I can check on the clankers I tasked with all my work for the day. Normal Sunday.
