We're talking Ghost Machine, the Geiger-verse, Hal Jordan, Superboy-Prime, and where he’s taking his storytelling next.
From helping redefine characters like Green Lantern and the Justice Society to building a new creator-owned universe alongside some of the industry's biggest names, Johns has left an undeniable mark on comics.

🙏So proud of our arena owners and the local Friends of Humanity chapters for finally drawing a hard line in the sand.
Parents paid good money to take their kids to Luna Snow's pop tour at MetLife Stadium. Families just wanted to hear harmless radio hits on a Friday night.
Instead, Alison Blaire walked out with a microphone and launched into a sickening political lecture.
Do you know what this radical mutant said to eighty thousand paying customers? She looked directly into the camera and said, quote, "Every innocent life on Genosha had value, and no child deserves to be crushed under Sentinel steel."
Read between the lines, folks. She is literally comparing standard Sentinel border defense systems to mass murder. She is demanding we feel guilty because a lawless island harboring mutant fugitives suffered structural consequences.
Then she had the audacity to tell the crowd: "To my human brothers and sisters, loving mutants does not mean hating humanity. I just want peace and dignity for everyone."
Give me a break. We all know what that coded dog whistle means. She is telling our kids that federal superhuman registries and homeland security are hateful. She is using the word "peace" to demand we dismantle national defense and let biological weapons roam our streets with zero oversight.
Thankfully, the stadium board and billionaire venue owners took immediate action. They told tour promoters that if Blaire touches a microphone at Gillette or Raymond James Stadium, the gates stay locked.
Now Blaire is crying on social media, acting like she is a victim of corporate censorship. You are not a victim, Alison. You ambushed eighty thousand people with anti-human propaganda.
Thankfully, the stadium board, billionaire venue owners, and Luna Snow herself showed incredible bravery. Luna, after being confronted by her KPop management team, stepped up like a true professional and refused to let her platform be weaponized as an extremist political forum. She courageously stated she is not complicit in this divisive rhetoric, refused to abandon the hard-working touring crew who rely on these shows for a living, and made it clear that family concerts must remain safe sanctuaries for joy and music.
HUMAN families are sick of being lectured by people who despise us.
STAND WITH THE VENUE OWNERS. Back the Friends of Humanity.

"Every other Robin has had their time in the sun to lead or guide a team, while Jason has remained stuck playing the angry black sheep. Going into this book, I wanted to see him actually evolve. Stepping into the role of a seasoned mentor figure to a brand-new generation is the exact breath of fresh air his character has needed.
@KyleDHiggins and @DiNicuolo_ deliver on that promise with Teen Titans #1, injecting kinetic energy and a sharp manga flair into a classic concept. "

❗️A lot of people are missing the real point of what went down in the latest episode of HBO's Lanterns....
[🚨SPOILERS FOR LANTERNS Ep. 3 OUTKAST]
Right out of the gate, the show sets us up to expect a familiar trope with John Stewart’s dad looking cold, harsh, and overly militaristic. As viewers without the full picture yet, it is easy to assume he is the one pushing John too hard or playing the distant, demanding father role. The writers pull off a great subversion by using our initial assumptions as a red herring, eventually revealing that the true source of John’s psychological pressure has been his mother all along.
Everything clicks into place once we see what happened when the Guardians bypassed John Sr. and chose Hal Jordan instead. John’s mother immediately viewed that decision through the lens of earthly racism and called them out, leaving the cosmic Guardians looking completely bewildered.
Her assumption was factually wrong in terms of how the ring operates, but her intense reaction told us everything about her history. It played like the straw that broke the camel's back after a lifetime of watching Black men in her family get passed over, mistreated, and held back by systemic prejudice.
That accumulated pain directly fueled the way she raised young John. Fear is often the instinct we rely on to keep the people we love safe, but sometimes that protection comes at a terrible cost. Convinced that a Black man has to be flawless and superhuman just to receive basic respect, she forced John to completely bury his fear and vulnerability. Her lived experience makes her deeply sympathetic, yet her extreme methods ended up damaging John instead of truly nurturing him.
Recognizing that damage helps clear up the confusion around the episode's message. Some online reactions are treating her anti-white sentiment as if the creators are endorsing it as the show's moral stance. In reality, she is a flawed, hurting character inside a layered story, not a mouthpiece for the writers.
The episode simply shows how deep systemic pain can distort a parent's protective instincts, turning love and survival into something harmful for the next generation.
What did you think of the latest episode of #Lanterns?
🤷♂️Lona Steelrose helped put up/tear down the ring even though she is a nepobaby. Just sayin' @danielwarrenart #DoAPowerbomb

Maybe @Variety should send someone to review a superhero film who is a fan of the genre?

This is Olympic-level cope to excuse shoehorning Doom in Kangs place after building up Kang for 5 years.
I get there is "no time" but the revisionism is crazy.
Vader WAS built up in the world he inhabited. We (the audience) JUST GOT THERE. We know MCU and F4s world already.
Anyone that’s wants come on here and say “Doctor Doom should have had more build up” just show them this video and they will shut up….. (Hopefully🤣)

Damn, it's official. Marvel is leaving New York.
For 90 years, this city has been the undisputed heart of the Marvel Universe. Growing up here, there was this quiet, electric thrill in knowing that some of the greatest modern mythology in human history was being forged just a few subway stops away. New York was never just a convenient backdrop for these stories. New York was Marvel, and Marvel was New York.
That connection started at the very beginning. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby did not invent a fictional metropolis to house their heroes. They simply looked out the window of their office and drew the world they lived in, building the Fantastic Four in the very neighborhoods they came up in. That raw, authentic energy became a torch passed down through generations of legendary creators. It is why Denny O'Neil and Frank Miller could redefine Daredevil by turning the real, gritty blocks of Hell's Kitchen into a noir masterpiece. It is how Chris Claremont and John Byrne grounded the X-Men so deeply that a school for mutants in Westchester felt like a place you could find on a map, and why Gerry Conway, John Romita Sr., and Gil Kane were able to capture the absolute, beating soul of the city in the pages of Spider-Man.
Because of that creative lineage, the stories always felt like home. We grew up knowing that Ben Grimm was proudly running the pavement on Yancy Street, and we knew that if we walked down Bleecker Street, we could look up and try to spot the window of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum.
That local DNA is baked into the characters themselves. Peter Parker is a Queens kid who takes the train and gets depressed at Mets games, while Miles Morales carries the heartbeat of Brooklyn in his stride.
As a former New Yorker, I know we were spoiled. We walked the same concrete as our heroes and the giants who drew them. They say if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. Marvel proved that to the world a long time ago, but as they pack up their offices, I find myself wishing they would still make it there.
Accepting this transition is incredibly tough. They say that life is all about change, but a New York based Marvel was one change I simply was not ready for. I do not mean to sound hyperbolic or dramatic. I am just genuinely sad for the next generation. I am sad for the kid who is going to grow up reading these legendary stories about New York, only to realize they are being written and drawn all the way over in Los Angeles.
Sure, the stories will keep going. The characters will still swing from the Chrysler Building on the page, but knowing the actual bullpen is no longer working within the city limits makes those fictional skylines ring just a little bit hollow. This art form means the world to me, and it is incredibly sad to watch #Marvel pack up and leave its true home after nearly a century.
Thanks for the magic, Marvel. New York will always be home and Marvel, to me, will always be New York🗽
Do YOU have a NY Marvel HQ story?
