After 13 straight WNBA Finals press conferences without being called on, I finally got to ask Rhyne Howard and coach Karl Smesko why the Dream skip the anthem.
Neither explained why & Atlanta PR shut down follow-ups: “Next question.”

We all owe SGA an apology.
3 points shy of extending the streak with 1:43 remaining.
He could have stayed in.
He could have started chucking up shots.
He could have drew cheap fouls.
But his team won, so he didn’t care about a silly little streak.
SGA is a true winner. That’s all the man does: Win. Win. Win.

NEWS: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and The SGA Foundation have partnered with Make-A-Wish and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma to launch “Home Court Heroes.”
Kids will get to attend games and hangout with SGA afterward.
“This program is all about self-belief and access, two of the pillars of my foundation. As a kid, an opportunity like this would have been instrumental for me, and they deserve it. I want these kids to walk out of the arena knowing it could be them, and that I’m in their corner.”
