Smart investors make profit from impact of Binance hack through Arbitrage
Back before Tether froze $1.18b $USDT, hacker quickly swapped $325M million $USDT into $ETH via UniswapX and market makers
They swapped a very large and accepted a loss to avoid Tether froze assets
Then $ETH price on Uniswap pump to $2,560 - $2,800 (at times ~$3,000)
But Aave still uses oracle chainlink, so $ETH price remains at $2,250 - $2,290
And this is how smart investors make profits:
1. Deposit USDC/USDT into Aave as collateral
2. Borrow ETH based on the (lower) oracle price
3. Immediately sell $ETH on DEX (at a higher price)
4. Wait for the spread to narrow, then buy back $ETH at lower price to repay the debt
Result: 61 address have made profit
Led by top 1 address made $3.47M profits
