Hi friends! You may notice something a little different about my profile today. I'm pleased to introduce myself as Caryn Allen, President of the Provo chapter of @TP_Communities Families.
My husband and I have been praying for the last couple years about how we can get meaningfully involved in our local community, to positively affect change, and to get people connected with each other.
I learned about @TPUSA 's new communities program over the summer from @ConservativeUT , and I knew I had to get involved. It checked *all* our boxes, and our chapter was officially established this week!
We are excited to grow this community and would love to have you involved!

Sometimes ya just gotta try all the sauces and rank them.
From L to R (on a scale of 1-5):
-Regular fry sauce 2/5, way too pickely
-Smokey fry sauce 3/5, less pickely
-BBQ sauce 4/5, yummy but a little too sweet for me
-Honey mustard dressing 3/5, good flavor but too much vinegar
-Jalapeno fry sauce 5/5, not spicy at all, just full of flavor
-Ranch 4/5, actually really good for not being homemade, very tangy
It's November 7th and Provo Mall is holding a regency Christmas festival today. At the beginning of November.
No. Just no.
The youth in our society are doing amazing things! Let's goooo!
Replying to @ClubAmericaPCHS
@ClubAmericaPCHS hosted a 5K run and raised $20,000 for veterans with Warrior Revival!
Our Club America students continue to impress me!
In 4 weeks and 5 days my teenager starts home MTC and we're in the thick of making sure she has everything she'll need for her mission. I made a spreadsheet to inventory what she has, what she still needs, and what recommendations were given, and we're very close to having everything squared away.
Now I'm thinking about what we need to do to pack up her stuff in her room while she's gone. Do we pack absolutely everything up? Do we leave some stuff out? I don't know what we're supposed to do here. ๐คฃ
Let's goooo!! ๐บ๐ธ
Club America absolutely MOGGED in the Utah state Capitol today for @tpusastudents Capitol Day event!!
These students are the future of Utah and will make a great impact in their communities!
Special thank you to @nicholeenp, @KariLisonbee, @UtahVote4Matt, and Alvin Jackson for speaking to our students! We appreciate your support!

Weird side effect from this election cycle:
Liberal LDS accounts that have cried about peacemaking for years
Are now showing their true vengeful & hateful colors.
I would strongly encourage you guys to find or start a communities chapter in your city. There is no better organization to work with to make a difference in YOUR local community than @TP_Communities ! If you're in Provo, my husband and I started a chapter last month and we're looking for people who really want to make a difference in our city!
This is not the time to cower in the face of defeat. Itโs time to roll up our sleeves and work even harder.
I know moments like this can be tough, but I love them because you get to see who is built for the hard work. Who is willing to rise to the occasion, stay in the fight, and keep going even when things donโt go our way.
I travel all across this country and talk to everyday Americans. I hear their concerns, their frustrations, and what they want for their families and communities. Those conversations are a big reason I believe we can bounce back from this.
But we have to show up. We have to listen, build relationships, and sometimes help meet peopleโs most basic needs. I donโt believe the answer to every problem is going to come from Washington, D.C. A lot of the work starts right here in our own communities.
Thatโs why Iโm so excited about what weโre building at @TPUSA through @TP_Communities. Weโre bringing people together and empowering them to make a real difference where they live.
We have a lot of work ahead of us, and Iโm ready for it!
Last night my teenager reserved a date to go through the temple for the first time! I am so excited for her.
The teenager had to work tonight, but it's absolutely dead and too early to pre close, so I came to hang out with her and work on memorizing music for chamber choir. When she has a few minutes she comes and chats, and then I go back to sipping water and memorizing Italian text.
I'm grateful she has a job she enjoys and is good at, and that she has mostly great co-workers. I'm also grateful that she's been able to work enough hours this past year to totally pay for her upcoming mission herself. Happy November. ๐ฆ
Y'all, ministering is *this* easy. It's a new month, so make a plan and just do it!
Yesterday I texted a guy who has only been to church a few times in 10 years. I said "Come to church tomorrow. Bring gummy worms." He came! He brought gummy worms. God is good! I gave him a big hug as did many others who were happy to see him.
Be fishers of men! He also brought some hooks and leader in case I wanted to duck out and go fish instead of church.
People want to be seen. People want to feel loved. The heavens are opening and opportunities to see others as Christ would see them are all around us.
After one of knocks at the door, before I opened it, I heard a kid read my "No Soliciting" sign out loud and then ask his friends if trick or treating counted as soliciting. ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
A couple years ago I put random things in the candy bowl like potatoes, oranges, tomatoes...etc to see what kids would do, and they *always* chose the random stuff like 90% of the time! ๐คฃ

Holiday angels needed:
If youโve followed me for any length of time, you know I ask for volunteers every year to send Thanksgiving and Christmas cards to a childhood friend of mine with no living family. He gets quite lonely and I donโt live close enough to include him in my personal celebrations.
If you are willing to commit to sending a between now and Christmas, please let me know.
If you need an activity to do with your kids, he enjoys getting drawings or coloring pages from little ones as well.
Priority will be given to mutuals I regularly orbit and trust out of an abundance of caution.
Thank you!
This is why I never leave the bowl out if no one is home to get the door. I don't trust people anymore.
