Imagine spending over 1m per month on energy. Electra is being adopted by businesses in Band A, specifically to help reduce cost spent on energy by over 20%.

I was privileged to get an invite to speak and share some of @milsat_africa innovations and solutions at the @Esri West Africa Conference. Here are some highlights I shared; - We must learn to engage the youths not only by motivational speech and free training, but also make efforts in connecting them to potential sources where they can apply what they’ve learnt in order to make some money. We are proud to say we’ve trained over 1,000 youth on data collection and geospatial analysis through the Milsat Aspirants Program and also paid out over 100 million naira in wages to youths we’ve engaged this year. - I also shared our new release of Geothings Chip, an hardware add-on that allows you to connect your assets such as transformer, generators, oil pipelines etc to the cloud. It has the capability to retrieve data from your asset and transmit to the cloud every 2 minutes. If you have an ArcGIS pro license, it can be configured to push data directly into your shape file layer. Now your asset can speak directly to your ArcGIS!. We had enough infrastructure to pilot and build this innovation, thanks to the @EsriStartups Program. - Lastly, I shared how we’ve enhanced our award winning enumeration pad, to enable field workers convert questionnaires from English to local languages like Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo. It was really an amazing experience and I want to specifically thank @SambusNigeria for organizing such an amazing event.

We invest in people aspiring to grow in the geospatial space. The Milsat Aspirant Program (MAP) provides mentoring and training for free to youths willing to explore or advance in #Geospatial industry. Successful candidates also get engagement recommendations to partake in some of our multiple mapping projects across the country.
