Ben is a lobbyist for developers, pipelines, REITs, grocery giants, rideshare and digital ID.
The sun rises, the morning comes, and so ends another campaign. There will no doubt be plenty of analysis, hot takes, and opinions in the days ahead. I’m not sure there’s enough whisky in the world to keep up with it all, so I think I’ll sit this one out. But I do have a few thoughts. To @BradMBradford: I’d go to war for you any day. The grace and class you showed in your concession speech last night offered just a glimpse of the truly outstanding human being you are. You are, without question, the hardest-working candidate I’ve ever worked for. Not once did I doubt that your heart was in the right place or that you were the right man for the job. It was an honour to serve you, and is an even greater honour to call you a friend. They say you should never meet your heroes. Well, I got to work alongside quite a few of mine. People I’ve spent years admiring, learning from, and looking up to. To have had the opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with this team was an opportunity I'll always be grateful for. An extraordinary group of people, and one I’d stand in the trenches with again without blinking. And finally, Toronto. This is an incredible city, and it deserves nothing short of greatness. I believe that when you look at the dial of a world-time watch, Toronto should be right there alongside the greatest cities on earth, not just in name - but in ambition, opportunity, and achievement. That potential hasn't gone anywhere. Realizing it will take all of us, regardless of who we supported in this election. I know the people who made up Team Bradford will step forward and contribute constructively and productively into building this city up. I know I certainly will. Congratulations to Team Chow on their victory. Cheers to the city we all love.

I have questions… maybe I’ll do 1 a day for the next little bit. First off, given it looks like such a big win, why do a news conference on the day of municipal elections when attention will be elsewhere ?

Both the Federal government and Career Colleges Ontario, warned the Ford government that some private career colleges were abusing OSAP. But Ford shoveled almost a billion dollars to the suspect career colleges last yearβ€”the same ones whose Directors and Executives donated a $150,000 to the Ford Conservatives. The @OntarioNDP has asked for Ford's Minister of Colleges and Universities to resign. #ONpoli #OntEd theglobeandmail.com/canada/t…

"Can you explain why this member is getting a promotion after he ripped off the people of this province?" On the first day of the fall sitting, Premier Ford dodges questions about why Stan Cho, who resigned from cabinet this summer after charging taxpayers for local hotel stays, has been promoted to an education role with a $22K pay bump.

yeah uh I don't think "search and rescue" is what this is going to be used for
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks. By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time. Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

Turnout in Toronto's election was about 46%. For those of us who obsess over politics, it's sobering that more than half of eligible voters just couldn't be bothered. And 46% is higher than it's been in the last few contests toronto.citynews.ca/2026/10/…

again, this is insane framing and objectively wrong based on the math in no universe is a 13 point margin considered tighter than expected, especially when coupled with the fact that chow got more votes than any other mayoral candidate in the city’s history

this is why our coverage of Bradford's Islamophobic endorsers matters. he showcases support from prominent Muslims, but also from prominent folks who direct hate at Muslims btw peep the comments to see how some of his online supporters feel about Muslim endorsers
I'm grateful to Imam Ismail Ulghar for calling from his Umrah pilgrimage to offer his blessings and making dua. Imam Ismail is a well-known Islamic scholar in Ontario and across Canada, and his kind words about our campaign and our shared commitment to building a better Toronto for everyone are deeply appreciated.
