I completed the Police Unity Tour with @CityPolice for @UK_COPS. It was an amazing opportunity to raise money for a great charity, to hear the lived experience of survivors and to share in the fellowship of being part of the #BlueFamily. Thank you to the organisers and supporters
. Special thanks to the volunteer crew from @Halfords_uk who followed us all the way from London to the @NatArboretum and lent me a bike when mine had mechanical issues.
To every serving member of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines, Reservists, veterans, civil servants and to the families who quietly serve alongside them…
Happy Armed Forces 2026 Day. 🇬🇧

Police and Soldiers
Mrs H is currently completing a comparison study between the police and soldiers and traumatic events.
If you fall into the bracket please complete her questionnaire. It will help her and hopefully others on completion.
Feel free to share.

Wow. Been a busy week with work. I even got to attend the House of Lords to give a briefing (and then a tour of both houses by a peer). Nice to be home and having a cup of tea in front of a warm fire though #NoPlaceLikeHome
All top operators with Ramona and Heather being my line managers/PIP4 at @YHROCU . Congratulations to them all 👏

It can be hard working out what career opportunities are out there and what to try.
Coming from Aberdeen I only had a couple of options—the rigs, a rough life or the military. I chose the military, to help me get up and out, and I ended up loving it. I served 24 years and I wouldn’t change any of it. I had the opportunity to work with the best people and it gave me purpose, goals and boundaries. It’s one of our nations’s few organisations that invests in you becoming a truly great citizen. I benefited from years of leadership training, team building, how to make tough decisions, problem solving and planning. It’s one hell of an adventure. Importantly above all else if you double down it allows you to develop and become the best version of yourself. Sign up sign up…

Last I have the privilege to attend the Ceremony of the Keys at the @TowerOfLondon . The warden aka Beefeater was a great host. The @royalartillery1 did a brilliant job as the guards 💂♂️ #TowerOfLondon #Gunners
