Benghazi ain't going away! #BenghaziAintGoingAway
My feelings do not define me. My faith does.
Anger, fear, happiness, passion, joy, contentment, love, and even hate are emotions. They come and go. They are responses to the circumstances we face, not the foundation upon which we should build our lives.
My faith in Jesus Christ is not an emotion. It is who I am. It is rooted deep, as steady as a mighty oak tree, standing firm against whatever storms this life throws my way.
I’ve faced storms that should have broken me. I’ve experienced fear, anger, pain, and moments of incredible joy. But none of those moments changed who God is or who I am in Him.
Happiness is not my ultimate goal. Faithfulness is.
The storms will come. The storms will pass. My emotions will rise and fall. But my faith will remain.
And when my time on this earth is finished, I won’t be standing before God asking whether I was happy enough.
I’ll be standing before my Savior, grateful that I remained faithful.
I don’t live for happiness. I live for Christ.

Thank y’all! Now let’s finish strong. Get those ballots in, and if you voted for me, tell SEVEN people to get their ballots in, too.
And if you didn’t vote for me? Just get SIX people to vote. You can be number seven! 😂
