Words are tools. Just like your microphone or DJ application are tools. If you don't know how to use them, they don't work - you can't reach your potential. And that means that your audiences and clients suffer.
DJs have the power to help people see themselves and each other differently — better — through music and the spoken word. We can bring new meaning into peoples’ lives. It can last decades.

What happens when you "teach" someone how to rock climb simply by telling them about rock climbing, then they go rock climbing? They die. How 'bout being a MC or storyteller? Same.
The people in my feed are total nutjobs. And many of them are in the US Congress. That disturbs me greatly. We can't be represented by Nutjobs.
I know this is not earth-shaking news. My presence here is inconsequential. I'm nobody. But, perhaps I represent others who haven't expressed this. The numbers will tell, after all. Do we seek higher consciousness? Do we strive for ideals? Are we drawn to virtues?
Or are we really just lizard-brained animals seeking only the bassist emotional motivation? And what will @elonmusk decide? With all his wonderful achievements, will he now decide to be the strange, malevolent little boy pulling the wings of of flies? We will see.
Without facts, there's no truth. Without truth, there's no trust. I don't trust Twitter. I feel disgusted, discouraged, & sad every time I read Twitter. I follow our representatives to see what good they are doing, but am disappointed instead. They represent the worst of us.

The values I grew up admiring are being eroded. And, I believe social media plays an integral part in it. How can something so powerful be wasted? A platform like this one could amplify the best of us — as Lincoln said, "The better angels of our nature."
Real, fact-based debate & issues-based discussion isn't very sexy, I suppose. It doesn't generate "likes" & "shares" & ad revenue. Controversy does. Negativity does. MIT has done many studies about this. I'm sick to death of it all.
Twitter has no real exchange of ideas or debate of issues. Under the guise of "free speech," propaganda is being distributed freely and taken as fact. In its current form, Twitter is nothing but sensationalism, lies, & half-truths. I get no benefit from it.

There are real issues in our country and the world. But they don't acknowledge or address them. Instead they waste their time on partisan sniping & bombast. @elonmusk's takeover has only made it worse. This isn't "free speech." It's unbridled propaganda....
