Who doesn't love a good sordid boxing tale (are there other kinds)? I ran into Tyson in Buenos Aires, of all places, high as a kite, a guest on Maradona's tv show. Couldn't have been weirder had John Waters directed. Will check out your book. All good on the left coast. Cheers.

Cus was a wizard: part genius, part madman. He wanted immortality for Tyson, but also himself. All he predicted for Tyson came to pass. But the price? Guy’s lucky to be alive. If you ever get a chance to read the book, i’d be really curious for your take Bob. Hope you’re well.

Cus was a paranoid recluse with OCD; in those days, we just said "eccentric". Tyson was starved of emotional investment. Despite all that dysfunction, don't you think they each brought something important to the other? Like in math when 2 negatives = positive.
