Walker started well but faded fast in the fourth quarter. He’s missing intangibles. Confidence, focus, maturity … one of the team’s, more underachieving players in quite some time.
Pacers self-destructed under the burden of a lot of poor decisions. Not to mention 27% 3-point shooting.
Greatest comeback in @Pacers history according to AI is 27 points vs Cleveland in 2025. Down 34 at half vs Dallas in home opener. Not making the best first impression.
Sorry to hear of Dale Brown’s passing. A colorful coach and seemed to be a genuinely good person.
Also offered to fight Bob Knight naked after Knight was not punished for slamming his fist on the scorer’s table during IU’s NCAA tournament victory over LSU in 1987.
The latest @SInow has an article on the ABA. Includes a photo of former @Pacers exec Sandy Knapp when she was a Pacesetter, prelude to Pacemates. Also mentions Chet Coppock wrestling a bear. But it incorrectly said the Utah Stars held a cow-milking contest. That would’ve been the Pacers and Billy Keller.
Easy to lose Quenton Jackson in the shuffle of tonight’s @Pacers win in New Orleans but he came up big down the stretch. Hitting two free throws without touching the rim after getting popped in the nose was impressive. Maybe he can work with Siakam on that.
Tonight followed suit. Pacers were outrebounded by Pelicans but won. Can’t blame Zubac, who had 14.
Replying to @MarkMontieth
The @Pacers haven't outrebounded opponents over course of season since 2014-15. They've only done it in 19 of their 50 NBA seasons. They only had a winning record in 8 of those 19. All four of Larry Brown's teams won the boards. None of Larry Bird's three did. Don't ask me why.
Pacers and New Orleans in crunch time under five minutes. A game when knowing how to win should be the factor.
I see @pskills43 was listed as having the third-best scoring season for an NBA @Pacers player on tonight’s pregame show. FYI: Reggie Miller averaged 24.6 in 1989-90.

Is he also going to be a student? Or is that an old-fashioned concept? It’s a little late to catch up on first semester classes.

I need to un-flip-flop the games from earlier post.
@Hali hit Q1 3's in G7 of '25 Finals at:
8:33
8:05
7:01.
Left game at 4:55
Last night in OKC:
8:32
8:08
7:01.
Taken out at 4:53.
Same weird bottom line.
Haliburton has made three three-pointers in the first quarter at OKC. Wouldn’t blame Carlisle if he yanked him right now. Ominous.?
The @Pacers are reviving their most popular ABA uniform, first used in the 1971-72 season. Trainer David Craig and stat crew member Bernie Celender designed them, admittedly copying the those of the Atlanta Hawks but claiming ...
