TL;DR update on fixing Britain’s immigration + welfare mess (building on my last post + Rupert Lowe’s points):
Unchecked immigration and failed integration are breaking us, but mass deportations right now, while welfare traps everyone, is a recipe for chaos.
We’ve needed a smarter sequence for years. Despite the brutal crypto winter I’ve been calling for decentralised solutions the whole time. Now is finally the moment.
1. Overhaul the entire system on blockchain first.
Transparent, immutable ledger for every tax penny spent.
Everyone can audit, vote on allocations, and watch waste/corruption evaporate in real time. Tried, tested, secure tech, no more middlemen skimming billions.
2. Replace broken welfare with UHI (Elon-style Universal High Income).
AI abundance makes a high baseline living standard possible for citizens without perverse incentives. Blockchain makes it efficient and fraud-resistant. This alone slashes administrative bloat so UHI costs less than today’s failing system.
3. Transparency bargain.
I’m fine with tracking if we overhaul everything at once. Encrypted decentralised digital ID (gov can’t corrupt or weaponise it). Full visibility on spending + data security for all. Financial freedom + privacy preserved.
Result? Lower overall tax burden. No tax on UHI itself. Incremental taxes on extra earnings kept well below current punitive levels so people aren’t penalised for working harder.
Only after this foundation do we enforce strict merit-based immigration and deport non-contributors/criminals, without the old dependency machine propping up problems.
Decentralisation is our best hope. Open, auditable, voter-driven. We fix root causes for natives and migrants alike instead of kicking the can or starting infighting.
Who’s ready for real systemic reset that we control?
My bias is clearly @MultiversX but DYOR, it has never been easier.

TL;DR:
Unchecked immigration + failed integration is breaking Britain (agree with Rupert Lowe).
But rushing mass deportations now risks serious unrest, especially while welfare dependency is high and police are stretched.
Smarter order:
1. First dismantle the wasteful, dependency-creating welfare system (middlemen eat most of it anyway).
2. Replace it with Elon’s Universal High Income (UHI) vision.
AI/robotics abundance delivering a high baseline living standard directly to citizens, removing perverse incentives for everyone (native or migrant).
3. Then do strict merit-based immigration + deport non-contributors/criminals.
This fixes root causes universally instead of targeting one group and sparking bigger chaos.

I hope US is not going to learn from the EU AI act or other regulatory frameworks which are "protecting" the EU users from too much competition.
we do use VPN or other methods to actually use what is needed, however, sometimes you just get into limitations and answer like "this is not allowed under EU". It was a funny story a few months ago when you couldn't call via API the Nano banana image generator, through the gemini website it was working, or through a simple VPN.
although I like the direction AI is going, it is more scalable if you manage to run it yourself. especially if models are getting smaller and smaller. this is good for everyone, except for frontier labs.
but they will have all the corporate customers to use the big gpus and servers and clusters, and all the builders. so no worry on that.
one thing they shouldn't do is to push regulators to "protect" the US AI.
The leading AI has already forked into two options.
A: Closed source American that costs $26-56 per 1MM tokens.
B: Open weight Chinese that costs $0.50-1 per 1MM tokens.
If you force American companies to spend 50-100x more than their competitors abroad here is what will happen:
1. American companies spending 50-100x will at some point become financially impaired and the stock market will crater. This is the equivalent of the US Government saying we can only buy oil at $800/barrel even when the free market sells the same oil for $80/barrel.
2. In the short term, the revenues of the Closed American Labs may remain hi. But then their revenue will also crater because their customers in the US will be impaired and their customers abroad will have already flipped to cheaper solutions.
This would be a terribly self-defeating form of intervention if it were to happen.

An app.
A window to the bigger world of finance.
@xPortalApp is evolving.
xPortal has been punching above its weight.
Over the past 3–6 months, we've taken substantial steps to quietly rebuild the foundations of xPortal. Placing it firmly at the frontier of finance, better equipped to serve its users.
The shipping velocity has increased, and some of the most demanded and awaited features have come live, being tested by users all around the world.
From pre-IPO equities and perpetuals, to outcome markets, and the newest onchain ecosystems where new liquidity is forming. With step after step, xPortal has transformed from a much loved crypto superapp, to a secure and fun window into the larger world of global finance.
In some sense, this has been the direction of xPortal from day 1. The destination didn't change much. It just took years to get here. Now, over the next few months, that initial vision is ready to reach its natural conclusion.

A $545 TO $3 CHART. 🔐📉👀
@MultiversX is pushing Guardians again (on-chain 2FA = a second approval before money can leave the wallet).
Someone steals your secret phrase (the 24-word backup that normally controls everything), and still nothing moves without that second check. Also available as an “invisible” mode inside @xPortalApp.
That security story is real. The price story is uglier, and most new readers still do not know it.
$EGLD peaked near $545.64 on 23 Nov 2021. current price is about $3.21. That is roughly a 99% drawdown from the top. Market cap sits near $97.5M. This is not a small dip. This is a full cycle collapse that needs plain history, not vibes.
Protocol Snapshot
@MultiversX (ex-Elrond) is a Layer 1 chain (main blockchain, not a side app) built for speed with adaptive state sharding (the network splits work across pieces so many transfers can run at once). Native token: $EGLD.
Price: $3.21 | ATH: $545.64 | ATL: $2.43
Supply: about 30.38M EGLD circulating | no hard max supply right now
Model: hybrid inflationary with fee burns (new coins can still enter; part of fees get destroyed)
Why $545 Became About $3 (The Crash Map) 🧊
There is no single Hollywood scandal that alone explains the whole chart. Research across market history, team materials, and on-chain scale points to stacked reasons:
1) Bubble top, not “fair value forever”
Late 2021 was peak alt-L1 mania. Elrond sold a clean tech story (sharding live, high TPS claims, Binance Launchpad roots, Maiar products). Small float + loud narrative can print fantasy prices. $545 was that moment.
2) 2022 winter hit every risk coin
Rate hikes, Terra/Luna, big fund failures, then FTX. Liquidity left. Alt L1s fell harder than Bitcoin and Ethereum. By the end of 2022, $EGLD was already down on the order of 90%+ from the peak. Most of the damage happened in the open market crash, not in one MultiversX-only black swan.
3) The fast-chain war was lost in public
Solana took retail energy, memes, and a huge share of “cheap and fast” mindshare after FTX.
Ethereum scaled with L2s (side roads that settle back to Ethereum) and data upgrades. That path is different from MultiversX sharding, but markets treated it as “good enough scale.”
Newer names (Sui, Aptos, TON, and others) also ate attention.
Result: MultiversX kept shipping tech. Capital and culture moved elsewhere.
4) Tech checkbox vs money on the chain
MultiversX really did put a form of sharding into production while Ethereum kept evolving its own roadmap. That is a fair tech point.
Markets do not pay for whitepapers. They pay for users, apps, stablecoins, and trading loops.
MultiversX DeFi TVL (money locked in on-chain finance apps) is only about $10M on DefiLlama. Solana still sits in the billions. Day DEX volume on MultiversX is tiny next to top chains. That gap is the quiet reason the token stays out of hype.
5) Rebrand tax in a dead metaverse year
In Nov 2022 the project moved Elrond → MultiversX and leaned into a metaverse / “internet-scale” brand reset (Maiar products also renamed toward xPortal and related apps).
The rename cost memory right when metaverse hype was already dying. New brand, cold market, harder comeback.
6) Scarcity story got rewritten later
For years the token was sold with a strong scarcity frame. In 2025–2026 materials, the economy shifted toward tail inflation (new coins keep entering to fund staking rewards, growth, and long-term ops; first-year class rates in official materials sit in the high-single-digit area before a lower floor).
Even if the math is “sustainable,” many holders read it as: price already crushed, then the old scarcity promise softened. That is a trust wound, not a phishing hack.
Europe-heavy roots also meant less “meme capital” than Solana’s US retail machine.
MultiversX built a wide highway early. Too few cars (apps, users, stablecoin liquidity) used that highway, while other roads got the traffic jams, the billboards, and the tourists.
Back to the @MultiversX promo.
Normal crypto wallet = one password for the vault. Steal the phrase, empty the vault.
Guardians add the bank second step:
If a thief tries to swap or kill the Guardian without the current second approval, a 20-day cooldown (forced wait) starts. That wait is meant to be longer than the unbond path for staked coins, so the real owner can move funds and cancel the attack.
Cost on the team marketing page: about $0.02 to enable. Soft claim, but directionally “cheap insurance.”
Great tech can still print a painful chart. This is that lesson, with a second lock on the door.
