I think Omarchy might have solved one of the biggest bugbears I have with macOS. You download a file from one app to put into another, but you have to hunt for it or rearrange windows so you can neatly so you can drag and drop it in.
With Omarchy, you just move the downloads window to the workspace you want to drag it into and boom, it's all perfectly aligned for you to drag and drop.
Testing out Omarchy by running it as an app on my Mac. It's really quite cool. It feels super fast to use and has a really nice balance of just want you need for a productive setup.
Is it me or has Grok usage limits for X Premium subscribers been reduced. I’m out of usage but feel like I’ve used it way less than normal.
I hate permissions on things.
Allow
Allow once
Allow always
Allow for this task
Allow while using
And I'm like:
"Does allow once mean I just need to tell you once?"
"What does a task mean, is it the chat, or the message"
I feel like AI is making software engineering about 10x more busy.
But I don't think it's actually bringing in any more revenue.
Do you agree with that?
Me: Watches a video on X
X: No problem
Me: Wants to skip back to the beginning to watch a bit again
X: I'm going to buffer the crap out of this request!
Oh! Today I learned that the ! front of a Claude command is to run it in the Claude terminal (the ! drops to a shell command), not to put it in a new window.
This is what I love about Novalede, it’s the visibility of small things like this that makes it a delight to use.
Which do you think will happen first?
AI models get really efficient that API pricing is equivalent to subscription pricing.
Subscription pricing will be moved to API pricing to be profitable.
I think it's very clever that Grok Bot routes it's computer traffic through your local IP address. It should save a lot of hassle with blocked IP ranges.
I can definitely see a future where businesses become agent friendly to manage things on your behalf. And I can definitely see where payments will be ripe for adaptation to allow bots to have virtual payment cards to spend money in a controlled way.
This is one of my favourite Novalede features, to consolidate the comments section of articles to get the agree and disagree sentiments.
