📚 100 teachers. 50 new school partnerships. A shared commitment to the joy of reading.
This World Teachers’ Day, we’re celebrating the teachers bringing schools in the UK and Ukraine together the UK-Ukraine School Partnership. Funded by the UK Government, this programme is part of the UK-Ukraine 100 Year Partnership.
Between 28 September and 2 October, the teachers from Ukraine and the UK met their partner teachers for the first time at two workshops in Krakow, Poland to plan ahead for their UK-Ukraine School Partnership activities.
They explored reading for pleasure and book choice with the @Literacy_Trust, discussed trauma-sensitive approaches to education and partnerships, and began planning activities for their pupils.
