Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai kissed his wife upon arriving at the Federal High Court in Abuja for his ongoing alleged wiretapping trial.
The court adjourned the case until November 25, 2026, for El-Rufai to begin his defence after dismissing his no-case submission.
He is standing trial over allegations of unlawfully intercepting the telephone communications of National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.

BREAKING: Court Orders El-Rufai to Enter Defence in Alleged Wiretapping Trial
A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a no-case submission filed by former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and ordered him to enter his defence if he so wishes.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik ruled that the prosecution had presented sufficient evidence for the trial to proceed.
El-Rufai is facing allegations of unlawfully intercepting the telephone communications of National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The allegations remain before the court.
