Vladimir Guerrero Jr. opens up on his slump year: “They didn’t pay me to hit 40 every year. They paid me for what I already did.” I want people to understand one thing. The money they gave me wasn’t for what I’m going to do. It was for what I already did. They didn’t pay me because I’m going to hit 40 every year. They paid me for what I already accomplished. People are confused about that, but I think the same way they do. Like, sometimes I even say to myself: bro, they gave you all that money and you’re out here doing nothing. I try. You know how it is with fans, when you’re good, they’re with you 100%. But when you smell like shit, like we like to say here, nobody supports you. The ones who support you are the ones who stay with you. Those are my fans. My family. Via VeronicabatistaTv/IG

This is not exactly what AJ Preller said. This is the full translated quote: “That group(Machado, Tatis) is the foundation of this team. Machado and Tatis are Padres. Everything changed when we signed Machado and when Tatis arrived in the league. Because of them we’ve had success and become a family and Machado and Tatis are a big part of that family.”

John Smoltz really watched Tylor Megill serve up that walk-off to Nick Castellanos in the 2024 playoffs while big bro Trevor was closing games for Milwaukee in the same postseason and still managed to mix up the bros 🥴

Mets catcher Luis Torrens: Enjoyed the championship as a fan, now wants to live it as a player for Magallanes #LGM “It’s really nice to be with the organization and defend it to the fullest. Obviously, there are a lot of responsibilities after the great work the guys did last year in becoming champions. I enjoyed it as a fan, and now I want to live it as a player and be there. I’ve always stayed active since the season ended in the United States so I could be ready when the opportunity came to be here with the team, and try to get into a rhythm as soon as possible. I kept doing activities and watching pitchers, looking for ways to be ready for Yadier(Molina) and for whatever he needs from me.” 🎥 @AngelDaniC13

Mets fans, With a thin free-agent market, we need to start preparing for internal options at first base. AGAIN, I’m good with that, as long as we upgrade at DH. The ideal bat there, in my opinion, is Teruaki Sato. Teruaki sauce at Citi… LOADING 🔥 #LGM

Putting Alvy at 1B might not sit well with a lot of people, but if the Mets upgrade at other spots, it’s not the worst-case scenario. I’m fine with Jared Young holding down first base as long as the Mets upgrade the DH. In that setup, Alvy can get some reps at 1B against lefties while still rotating with Torrens behind the plate. #LGM

Jairo Asencio, el líder de juego salvados de todos los tiempo… Duro por el center field, no, no, no… 😅

Mets catcher Luis Torrens has reported to the Venezuelan Winter League with Los Navegantes del Magallanes. Teammate Francisco Alvarez has also arrived at camp and will work out exclusively at DH and first base. He reportedly did not receive authorization from the Mets to catch. #LGM 📸 @hcolme_7

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is living his best life, floating in a river back home in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴

Goated picks 👀

How the mighty have fallen SMH

Demetrio Crisantes is currently the 84th ranked prospect per MLB pipeline. Rojas is 68th. Mets won the trade #LGM

Former top MLB The Show competitive player here. Might be bringing the streams back in the near future and thinking about running a tournament. Stay tuned.

Just hit a vintage Mike Piazza nuke with my all time Mets squad in MLB the show 💪🏽😅 #LGM

Keith Hernandez if he was calling a game in LIDOM 🤣

Alerta de perreo: Kevin Alcantara con su segundo palo de la noche 👀

Gotta love the approach by Jefferson Rojas. First at-bat of the night, takes two mighty cuts, works into a two-strike count, then shortens up and shoots one the other way for a leadoff double. 💪🏽 #LGM
