Best thing to do: Write in LaTeX while your wife works with Word at the same time. That might qualify as "Schadenfreude".
WHY IS IT SO FUCKING DIFFICULT FOR @Microsoft WORD TO PLACE AN IMAGE RIGHT WHERE I WANT IT??? Why do you keep moving it to the previous or the next page?? Why??? Why must you make me waste the few precious hours of productivity each day??? Why??? WHYYYYYYYYY
awesome :D – at Essen, Germany

Recycling is really important to battery-powered cars. Although they don't emit CO₂ while driving, the production of lithium ion batteries is not really environmentally friendly. Recycling lithium, cobalt and other elements efficiently is a must.
The world is on track to generate up to 2 million metric tons of used lithium-ion #batteries a year by 2030. What do we do with all that waste? ow.ly/ndcP50v4R9t

We need to celebrate a National Lab Technician Day. I have learnt as much if not more from technicians than PhD scientists. They are brilliant craftsmen, utterly diligent, hard working, modest to a fault...and woefully underappreciated. They deserve the limelight much, much more.
Very tasty cake 🍰 😄
Cake time at the nano #electrochemistry group due to an agglomeration of birthdays during the week... no possibility for information on aging at the single-entity level 😁

Thanks! By measuring the charge of HAuCl₄ reduction from individual #micelles, we know exactly what #nanoparticle size is deposited. We truly observed what #solvation can do. The more we understand, the better catalysts we can produce for #fuelcell applications.
Solvation scientists @TschulikGroup and @MathiesVEvers from @ruhrunibochum found a new method to spare gold in catalysts' construction: Let golden nanoparticles collide with the electrode, in solution, one by one. Congratulations! #catalysis #fuelcells solvation.de/resolv-news/new…
