Dramatic new developments in the Tommy Robinson's @TRobinsonNewEra case. The foreman of the jury confirmed they did not have a unanimous decision.
He's sent them away to aim for a majority verdict, 10-2 or 11-1.
If not, Robinson is free, although the CPS may try again.
Dear All - Update on last Monday Night’s Space.
During the UK Political space on Monday night, the host, Nil, had one of her windows smashed, you may have heard the recording.
It was not an antisemitic attack and it had nothing to do with X. It was a couple of local kids who have been caught on camera & the police are investigating. Nil is ok if a bit miffed as you would be!
We look forward to hearing you in next Monday’s space - happy burnham budget day! 😬
A new Mandela Effect is rising.
Since when does the Soviet flag carry a star above the hammer and sickle?
Many of us remember it clearly without one.
If you recall the flag without the star… you may be from the old Earth.
Shifted into this denser, clown-world timeline.
The memory itself is the proof.
The body knows.
The soul knows.
We are not crazy.
We are remembering.
I miss the old Earth too.
Yet we are here now to hold the Light and anchor a higher one.
Who else feels this?

Since Joanne of Oldspeak bookshop is being dragged through the mud again by some no mark cringefest - for daring to have a stall at an event supposed to be platforming a variety of viewpoints - I’ll drag out the piece I wrote when Simon Edge tried to take a smack at @oldspeak_books and got “feedback”.
Because it makes me laugh and I wrote it. 🤣

The problem with being impartial on right wing politics, especially with Restore & Reform, is that any criticism or questioning of one side automatically gets you accused of siding with the other.
As someone on the fence, I see awful behaviour and game play on all sides.
Most of it is just social media. What actually matters is what happens on the streets, in branches and at meetings
Sadly too many people do very little whilst claiming to be 'saving the country' yet they can't even save themselves from their own excuses, bad habits or dramatics
We should all be mature enough to understand that criticisms and questions are not attacks, and the immense progress that civil discourse can make 🇬🇧❤️

On this day in 899, Alfred the Great died in Winchester.
Alfred was a scholar-king who believed that literacy was essential to the strength and freedom of his people. He personally translated (or closely supervised the translation of) major Latin works into Old English so that ordinary free men could read them.
He is the only English monarch in history to be given the epithet "the Great".

PETITION STARTED BY LEAH’S PARENTS - please sign and share 🙏
Our daughter Leah Croucher went missing on 15 February 2019, walking to work. Her body was found three and a half years later, in the loft of a house half a mile from our family home.
The man who killed her, Neil Maxwell, was a convicted sex offender with a history of serious offending going back to 1998. Months before Leah disappeared, he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman and was sentenced to a Community Order, not prison. The Probation Service wrongly classified him as medium risk instead of high risk. He then missed a number of Probation appointments, and a police officer raised concerns about his lack of communication just weeks before Leah went missing. He evaded arrest for six months. During that time, he murdered Leah and took his own life.
The Coroner ruled that Leah was unlawfully killed, and that failures by the Police and Probation Service in monitoring Maxwell "may have played a part" in her death.
That's why we, Leah's parents, are calling for Leah's Law: a mandatory minimum prison sentence for anyone convicted of a third sexual offence.
Mandatory minimums already exist for domestic burglary and Class A drug trafficking. There's no justifiable reason sexual offending should be treated more leniently. By a third conviction, it is self-evident that the offender has not been sufficiently deterred from further offending.
Where a case falls below that threshold, we are calling for a District Judge to oversee sentencing in all repeat sexual offence cases, so a decision like the one that let Maxwell walk free can never be made again.
This would have ensured he had no opportunity to kill Leah, and that the risk he presented on his release would have been vastly reduced.
Sign for Leah, and for every family this could still protect.

FT comments never miss.
I don’t think I’ve read such a rational analysis of the situation we’re in for a long time.
I've been in France since 2002 and have never seen the streets so violent nor the politics so extreme. From the sacking of the supermarket on my street to the prospect of Présidente Le Pen, here's me @FT including thoughts from 2 French Nobel laureates as.ft.com/r/addcad57-0f9d-4e…

I would argue that we are already in civil conflict, the conditions are set. Antagonistic, armed groups, governments sidelined who refuse to act and a population set adrift to fend for themselves. Going forward it's a matter of degree how violent it gets.
