We found it, we liked it and we went for it.
Harness Boys finish their side of Cup Week for the @boysgetpaid @TAB_Racing punters club with an absolute bang on Cyrus in the last. $246,250 collect. Absolute scenes between @AFitzyRacing and I on the lawn at @AddingtonNZ
Classy 3YO Franco Lomu scratched from tomorrow night's Derby prelude. Regan Todd says they think he may have pulled a muscle. Nothing too serious, but enough to warrant not risking him. He's likely to head to Show Day for final run before Gr.1 NZ Derby.
Just noticed smart Southland mare Duchess Of Kent still in a few futures markets. Unfortunately, she's been retired after suffering an injury just as she was ready to return to the track.
A stable change of note has appeared on HRNZ. Inaugural Christian Cullen winner, Rakero Rocket is back in New Zealand and now trained by Steven Reid. Ranked 16th on the order of entry for the Go Media NZ Trotting Cup next month.
Well done to @bengrimstone and the team for introducing the extended Place Extra on all harness meetings!
Announced last night on The Box Seat and available from today's Addington meeting. Should be a great wee driver of turnover particularly around SRM's.
Prestigious = Wow. What have we unearthed there. Always thought he was good but didn't think he was a sit parked and monster them good.
He's just a different kind of gravy is Jumal.
I think it's a very good crop of 3YO's behind him, but he's just in a league of his own.
Anyone in or around Christchurch on October 30 and looking for something to do?
We're holding a quiz night for a couple of awesome people who have a massive few months ahead of them.
Would love to fill the house!
Buffy Northstains heads to Methven this week 190th up from a spell. Yes, you read that right. 190 starts without a break. She's raced every month since September of 2022. Don't you dare tell me how tough that is either. She's won three of her last four starts.
Marvelous.
Some super racing tonight at Addington, but the Lazarus Stakes is next level. The depth of our three-year-old pacers is quite remarkable this season. But, as good as they might be, they're going to have to be extra good to beat the top dog, Jumal.

Perfect trial from Marketplace today. Settled last off 30m handicap, grabbed a one/one ride from the 600m and peeled and won under his own steam. 3.07.2 - 56.8 - 26.8
Looks really forward and ready for an exciting next few months.
Star Kiwi pacer Marketplace kicks off his road to the second Tuesday in November tomorrow with a trial at Ashburton.
The perfect ending for one of the greats of South Island racing. @Kylieana2 signs off with victory. And a peach of a ride it was too. – at Canterbury Region, New Zealand
Gutted for the team. Would have been awesome to see her here again. Gus set to become Dominion favourite when markets reopen. – at Canterbury Region, New Zealand
Keayang Zahara is OUT of the Dominion and the remainder of the season 🚨
Pulled up short after her work on Wednesday and has a slight ligament strain.
Nothing too significant but needs 6-8 weeks of rest.
A full update tonight on Friday Night Lights from 4.30pm @TracksideNZ 1
A few notes out of @AddingtonNZ trials today.
1. Tour Party was in beast mode winning his heat. Settled midfield and moved outside Chiggsy inside last 600m. Really strong through line. Chiggsy very good too after leading. Travel Agent was winding up before gallop at 200m. – at Canterbury Region, New Zealand
4. Smart 3YO Forever Miki given nice quiet hit out. @Whiteotj92 reports very happy camp. Another trial in a fortnight before lead up in graded race middle of September then the Lazarus Stakes. – at Canterbury Region, New Zealand
