We would barely have a sport if it wasn’t for the contributions for more than a century of talented footballers who came to the US from other countries for work or an education but apparently because college soccer has international players it’s not worth trying to fix.

When a few conferences were discussing breaking away with US Soccer a couple of years ago (2 semester model) , programs were going crazy at the possibility everyone may not be included. Now they are the same ones that have been outspoken against this flex model
Given a lot of the responses I’ve seen, I wonder if the loudest voices against the two-semester model even read the proposal.
This is why I never had my hopes up.
BREAKING: The two-semester model for men’s college soccer is expected to be rescinded, sources tell GOAL.
The vote needs two-thirds majority to rescind initial decision and sources say they expect that to happen.
New model originally ratified on Oct. 7.

Villanova continues to be our best local hope for an NCAA Division 1 berth but they still need to win the Big East to do that.
What an incredible season Rowan has had. Hopefully they can keep it going and turn it into a deep run to Historic Crew Stadium in the NCAA Tournament.
Congratulations to Rowan women's soccer completing a perfect 14-0 regular season with a 2-0 win at Rutgers-Camden tonight. @RowanAthletics

At the NCAA D-1 Board of Directors meeting today, a motion to overturn the college soccer proposal was introduced, but failed.
That's a significant win for advocates/coaches. But this still has to survive the rescission process.
Deadline is next Friday, Nov. 6, at 5pm.

New England the Achilles Gil
For all the Union’s recent success, Carles Gil remains a familiar problem.
The New England midfielder played a role in both goals Saturday night as the Revolution handed Philadelphia a 2-1 defeat at Subaru Park.
