Delighted to be invited to attend tomorrow’s second virtual Excluded APPG meeting, representing the 1.6m - 2m+ New Starters STILL abandoned by @RishiSunak. Thanks @Jamie4North for the invitation - on behalf of all at @NewStarterJust, I look forward to it. #newstarterjustice

You’re refusing to acknowledge the additional 1.3million+ New Starters (according to more accurate statistics available) @ExcludedUK your breakdown is the most basic 600k, ignoring several critical factors (seasonal. span is beyond 1 month?) then HALVED by your own assumptions?!

We now know thankfully furlough's helped 8.9m people alone. Yet 3m are #excluded from support schemes. Here's some of the things they may've done 'wrong' -Changed jobs -Started biz in last 18mths+ -Been freelance -Ltd co directors -Worked for agency -Had employer who didn't care

The latest figures show the government's spent more than £27 billion pounds on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme and the Self Employed Income Support Scheme. @hmtreasury It's still not clear why the 2-3 million people excluded from support are not equally deserving of help.

There are many groups you have conveniently cast aside! It’s time to address the inequalities of the support schemes! @RishiSunak Help us all come out the other end, to help ourselves & the economy- quite simply, support us now please! #newstarterjustice #ExcludedUK #ForgottenLtd

@RishiSunak are you for real? It’s great that these charities are getting the support. But do you show compassion and care to the thousands of small Ltd Co’s that you have not supported in this crisis? No!! #ForgottenLtd #ExcludedUK

Hasn’t been a lifeline for the 1.5 million plus workers left out of all the schemes, due to a date loophole Left with nothing, left to suffer, left veering towards poverty for so many and left so flipping frustrated that no-one will help them. @newstarterjustice @RishiSunak
"The Government’s support throughout the lockdown so far has been a lifeline for businesses, employees and the self-employed. The changes announced will help ensure the schemes stay effective as we begin a cautious recovery." - Dame @cbicarolyn, @CBItweets Director-General

Not a hope in hell!! What of we had at #newstarterjustice ???? A big fat zero, thanks to @RishiSunak. Will earn under the tax threshold forever, as will never pay again into a system which did not help me and 1.5 million others, when we needed it. uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/co…

Your inaction @RishiSunak is wrong, on so many levels, leaving people in financial difficulty, when they’re also going through the pandemic & suffering the impact of lockdown! Not to mention the detrimental impact this is having on unemployment! @BorisJohnson #newstarterjustice

#newstarterfurlough #newstarterjustice have been asking since April why the changes were suddenly corrected for TUPE’d employees, citing this family relationship then. It is wrong & an abuse of @RishiSunak position when he wont afford the same grace to all taxpayers. @MelJStride
At the average payment this would be £535,000 so far, and could not be more than £750,000 a month. It is to keep businesses going that otherwise would struggle. Clearly the company could pay this itself.

#newstarterjustice denied the same support given, that uses methods of proving Employee legitimacy that New Starters would meet nearly every time. @RishiSunak your defence is officially nil beyond your own personal refusal, one that is destroying the homes of 1.6m+ taxpayers.

This is the worst thing for us. We went from being told that no one would be left behind, to being told that not every job could be saved. Don’t know if you’ve seen our latest statistics report, but it’s appalling how much individuals are being affected, financially and mentally.
Replying to @RishiSunak
@RishiSunak said no one would be left behind. If that was true then why are so many suffering up and down the UK? We have to stand together and show him how these arbitrary exclusions from support schemes are affecting real people. My heart goes out to you Rachel 💔

#borisjohnsonmustgo and tell @RishiSunak that it is vital that he amends the CJRS furlough scheme to include the 1.6m+ new start Employees who have been abandoned with nothing for changing jobs before lockdown. It’s forcing 100,000’s into unemployment. #newstarterjustice
