Man, sad news. Hearing Ned calling the race on Sunday afternoons along with Buddy Baker, Bob Jenkins, Ken Squier, and Benny Parsons was a huge part of my childhood. Now they're all gone, but imagine the reunion that's going on in Heaven right now?

Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

Good call. Can we just make this permanent? A 1:00 pm start time for the 500 with a 1:30 pm green flag worked for decades and I never heard of west coast viewers complaining. If you're a fan, for an event as big as this you're going to watch it no matter how early it starts.

NEVER thought I would see this video come to light: Sabbath with Dave Walker on vocals. His bluesy style didn't quite fit the band but I've often wondered how the (highly underrated) Never Say Die album would have sounded with him on vocals.
