@MatthewMWolfe has written a great book on a forgotten group of eco-saboteurs whose activism raises urgent questions for us today. See the first reply for my review of it.
Grateful to have my work be the object of such a thoughtful, generous essay by Nick Tabor about the Earth Liberation Front and the failures of eco-sabotage, in Commonweal magazine.

Come thru and ask if I have enough cases to theorize! Thanks to @nyu_journalism for sponsoring!
Join IPK and @nyu_journalism on September 16 for a talk with @MatthewMWolfe. He will discuss his new book, Fires in the Night: The Earth Liberation Front, the FBI, and a Secret History of Eco-Sabotage with @jerolmack and @avitale.

Very proud to announce that my interview with @MatthewMWolfe about his new book "Fires in the Night" is now out. Covering an extensive swath of eco-activist history and federal infiltration, all based around Eugene, Oregon, this is already essential listening for any PNWeirdo.
For Verso's blog, I wrote about the Trump administration's branding vast swathes of the left as "terrorists," a strategy pioneered in the 90s with the federal government's attacks on environmental activists.
Much thanks to my editor @bnjmncrs for making any of this make sense.

Very excited to say that I just finished up reading and writing up everything needed for an interview with @MatthewMWolfe on his latest book "Fires in the Night". An instant Eugene-eco-classic, this is going to be a must read for all the PNWeirdos out there
More smoke from wildfires this week. As the Guardian points in their feature on my book “Fires In The Night,” the Earth Liberation Front — mocked in the 90s — was 100% correct that we weren’t doing enough, quick enough to prevent ecological catastrophe. theguardian.com/us-news/2026…

Excellent, four-star review from Cal Revely-Calder and @TelegraphBooks of "Fires In The Night" that draws a clear line between the repression of the environmental movement in the 2000s and the contemporary crackdown on Gaza activists.

@MatthewMWolfe ’s FIRES IN THE NIGHT—one of the best books I’ve ever had the pleasure to publish—tells the riveting story of a group of activists in 1990s Pacific Northwest who came together to fight climate change through targeted acts against industry penguinrandomhouse.com/books…
