Has anbody used the Relay UK app recently? I am having issues with making calls, and been waiting for somebody on their helpdesk to pick up my call for 30+ minutes!
I was so shocked at the lack of mask wearing upon my return from Ontario, Canada (where there is still a mask mandate) to the U.K. last week. Got many stares at the shops wearing my mask - why are people getting so upset when one wears a mask?
Feeling angry/upset. Just been into Sainsburys South Gosforth before work. An elderly man laughed and made a sarcastic comment because I was putting my mask on before going in 😢🤷🏻♀️ It’s my choice, I’m protecting people like him and I work on Intensive Care #NewcastleHospitals

In a store check out, I signed thank you to the cashier, and she gave me a weird look. I was confused, and then later realised it’s likely because I had a mask on and she thought I was blowing kisses at her. 🥲 this is one good reason for improving deaf awareness!
I have learnt a very important lesson - make sure suncream does not get into your eye. You do not want this to happen.
If you know of Deaf photographers (preferably LGBTIQA+ themselves) who has images of Deaf LGBTIQA+ people, events etc - please let me know names and contact details (with consent).
Those who knows me well knows I cannot eat any fish nor seafood. And yet, today, I am eating a fresh tuna salad without gagging (I can smell and taste everything just fine).
I am done with hearing people and audism today - really done with it. Don’t talk to me unless you’re Deaf (until further notice).
