Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day. Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine. As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia. America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration. Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Russia attacks a Ukrainian powerplant, violating the energy ceasefire. Trump responds by threatening to cut Ukraine’s arms, not Russia. Ukraine says it’s ready to stop hitting refineries. Russia signals it isn’t. draw your own conclusions.

This is big. Medium size delivery trucks are perfect for Electric powertrains: tend to drive a daily route of 100 miles or less and can charge level two overnight and save a ton on fuel. Makes economic sense. Harbinger is a real leader in the space. CA based, USA built! insideevs.com/news/810423/fe…

A good reminder that X is not real life. In the real world, the vast majority of Americans continue to embrace our noble founding ideals of freedom, equality, and self-governance.
I'm really not at all surprised by the people defending Bo French. It is entirely predictable. Ask yourself who on the Right depends on the algorithm for income and every one of them is defending French.

Yeah, the world I grew up in would have celebrated this. It embraced diversity (at times clumsily) then 9/11 made us fear the world, Obama drove insecure racists insane, social media allowed the village idiots to find each other, & COVID gave ppl an excuse to be selfish assholes.

This is racism, plain and simple. I have served on the Energy Resources Committee, which has jurisdiction over the Railroad Commission, for most of my tenure in the Texas House, and I have never seen conduct so unbecoming of a Railroad Commissioner or candidate in that time. The right thing to do is immediately delete this and issue an apology. If not, I would remind any candidate that the Texas Legislature has granted the Railroad Commission broad discretion in carrying out its duties — because we have trusted the competence and fairness of those who serve. That trust can be revisited. If Mr. French wants to regulate immigration policy, he should have run for Congress.
I heard UT graduation this year looked like this. I didn’t believe it. The problem is now obviously far worse than anyone imagined.

We helped on this. Took about 4 months to build and three years to get power. CA desperately needs permitting reform to build these vital sites quicker. Congrats to EVgo for getting this great site up and running.
EVgo’s largest station in the City of Los Angeles is now open! ⚡ Located right next to the busy I-10 corridor, the new site features 18 fast charging stalls with a range of speeds up to 350 kW to fit a variety of charging needs. This is also the largest non-Tesla fast charging station in the City of Los Angeles, bringing even more public charging options to LA drivers. #fastcharging #losangeles #EVgo

As we remember the lives lost and the profound ways the world abruptly changed 25 years ago today, I also want to remember the kindness, the sense of community, and the everyday altruism that immediately followed the September 11 terrorist attack. Immediately following, everything felt different. There was almost no horn honking. People were quiet, but unfailingly polite. Strangers looked out for one another. There was a shared sense of camaraderie I’ve never experienced since (with one unfortunate exception). I wish we worked harder to hold onto that feeling. To see each other as human every day, not just in moments of crisis. To strive for a country where community isn’t something we rediscover only in tragedy, and where our leaders encourage us toward that better version of ourselves.
