Just because a child might not survive an early delivery doesn't mean an early delivery is an abortion. The alternative to an abortion is emergency separation if the life of the mother is at risk. As well as a D&C is not always an abortion, just because there are abortions that use that procedure. There is miscarriage care that involves the same medications as an abortion, and so on. Conflation is the core of the confusion here.

Killing the baby would actually not have prevented the baby from being killed.

So you think that killing your children is a valid excuse to be not legally reconized as a mother (even though you're still biologically the mother of a child that has died) as age of 0 at birth is a social construct?
Replying to @Landenr2rs
the way people still act like this is debatable is insane. not wanting kids is not a flimsy excuse its a whole life decision.

When you don't live in an echo chamber where you only allow some replies, then maybe you'll be seen to have a valid point by your opposition?
When are people going to realize that “doesn’t want to have children” is an extremely valid reason to have an abortion

When they couldn't possibly imagine a woman is behind a screen, yet they also claim some men can get pregnant, otherwise trans men aren't real men 👀
How many children are currently inside your body, Max?

National abortion rates rose 8% between 2017 and 2020- 2017: 862,320 abortions (lowest since Roe in 1973) 2020: 930,160 abortions (pre-Dobbs rebound) 2023: 1.05 million abortions (highest in over a decade) 2024: 1.11 million abortions 2025: 1.13 million abortions
Abortions were actually on a long-term decline. But trying to solve a policy debate by passing vague laws that put miscarriage patients in medical danger is just bad governance.

Abortion is still better than finding babies in trash bins btw.

Someone just proved themselves wrong by highlighting fetus under baby...
Your inability to differentiate between a baby and a fetus is a you problem. A fetus is called a fetus rather than a baby because medical and scientific terminology uses specific developmental stages to describe a growing organism before birth.

According to the CDC, an abortion is intended to terminate a suspected or known ongoing *intrauterine* pregnancy, meaning in the uterus. An ectopic pregnancy occurs extrauterinely (outside the uterus). Keep that in mind when you read their statistics...

NEW BORN INFANTS CAN BE TERMINATED (INFANTICIDE) AFTER A LIVE BIRTH IN MINNESOTA MN Governor Tim Walz signing to REPEAL the Minnesota “Born Alive Infants Protection Act.” Now a botched abortion (an infant born alive after a botched abortion) or a healthy new born infant, Can Now Be LEGALLY TERMINATED after a live birth. This is defined as INFANTICIDE. Keeping the new born drugged until it's death is been labled as " COMFORT CARE" Look how elated the women around Waltz are behaving…

Gotta love the doubling down on putting certain races on the literal "pride" flag- The original pride flag actually included all demographics. Gilbert Baker had them stand for universal themes: Life, healing, sunlight, nature, harmony/art, and spirit. The new pride flag is an explicitly exclusive adaption to this, and now adding race to somehow make it more inclusive is actually defeating that very purpose further than renaming the meaning of the stripes for sexual identity, the gender indenty, and evidently it continues. And it's now a logical paradox, becomes more exculsionary with every one category it adds without another, therefore making it necessary to continue adding, and adding, and adding- The design logic has gone from conceptual inclusion to demographic representation, making it inherently exclusive.
