Took my reusable cup to @TimHortons on the @UAlberta campus for tea. Apparently, the "policy" is to measure the drink with a paper cup before putting it into the reuasable cup!! Comeon! I thought we were a "sustainable" campus!! I made a fuss...but the "policy" needs to change.

The @CanEntomologist and the Journal of the @EntSocBC both have peer reviewed notes. The latter also has peer reviewed natural history notes/observations. And both have affordable (sometimes free!) What happened to scientific notes? Many journals don't publish them now but some do (e.g., Ursus). They have a role in documenting observations that might otherwise vanish in field notebooks. While not citation classics, some I've published are well cited. Worth the effort.
