Today, we honor & celebrate all mothers, grandmothers & mother figures whose love & sacrifice help shape our families & communities.
We also lift up those missing their mothers & mothers grieving the loss of a child.
Happy Mother’s Day. 💐 #SavannahStrong

LMAOOO THE SAVANNAH MAYOR IS ONE OF THE COOLEST PEOPLE I’VE MET!!!! And I love this 🤣
Grateful that the President, First Lady, and all at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner were safe. There is no place for political violence by anyone, against anyone. We can disagree without being violently disagreeable. Let’s find common ground.

Deeply saddened by the untimely passing of @BishopRTJackson who changed GA & loved Savannah. A fearless ambassador of God, he always spoke up for the downtrodden.
He was my confidant, mentor & spiritual advisor. I am blessed to know him. We have lost a giant.
Rest well, Sir.
Today, we honor the lives of transgender individuals lost to hate and violence around this nation. On #TransgenderDayofRemembrance we mourn, we stand with our trans community, and we reaffirm that in #Savannah, YOU belong HERE!

Public transit is not just about buses or routes it’s about people.

Yesterday’s “Building Healthier Communities” briefing featured powerful insights from members of the @OurMayors, who are proving that local leadership drives national change.
Here are a few key takeaways from the conversation:
✅Mayors move communities. As @MayorJohnsonSAV, Georgia, reminded us, “When mayors move, communities move as well.”
✅Small cities make a big impact. Mayor Kim Thomas of Richmond Heights, Ohio, shared how her city’s weekly yoga, bike rides, and line dancing events keep residents connected — physically and mentally.
✅Partnerships are powerful. Mayor @Monichols of @cityoftulsagov, Oklahoma, described how Move with the Mayor® inspired new public-private partnerships, including the city’s Office of Health and Well-being, which integrates mental and physical health across city programs.
✅Health is personal. Many mayors spoke about why wellness is at the heart of their leadership — from personal experiences to a shared belief that prioritizing community health is just as important as improving infrastructure.
💬 Thank you to AAMA and featured speakers for spotlighting these inspiring leaders.
