Let the good times roll…the Alabama way! 🥳 #alpolitics
Congrats to Congressman Shomari Figures, who was named to the House Transportation & Infrastructure and House Agriculture Committee this week. 🎉
Working on these committees, Congressman Figures will be well-positioned to secure billions of dollars in federal investment for critical infrastructure projects in our region.
Hallelujah! 🙌 It is hard to overstate how important today’s announcement is for the future of Mobile. This funding is a monumental boost for the Mobile River Bridge and Bayway project, and we are moving full steam ahead.

I thank @SenKatieBritt and the entire congressional delegation for their support of this critical project. #alpolitics

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Mobile County Circuit Judge James T. Patterson. A U.S. Navy Veteran and a sitting judge since 2016, Judge Patterson gave so much of his life to public service. He will be missed, and our prayers are with his family, friends and colleagues.

It’s hard to fully measure Terrance Smith's impact on Mobile — both as the City’s Director of Strategic Initiatives and as an engaged mentor and community leader.
We are excited to welcome @TerranceDeShaun to the team! As our new Bloomberg Public Innovation Fellow, Terrance will lead research to help #publicinnovation leaders and communities across the globe capture opportunities that advance equity and improve quality of life for people.
Bloomberg is getting one of the best, and Terrance will be joining a familiar team of talented innovators working around the U.S. Though we’re sad to see him go, I think this is also a win for the City of Mobile.
Today I join Mobilians and the rest of humanity in lifting up the community of Uvalde, Texas and the victims and families forever impacted by yesterday’s horrific tragedy.
I'm joining Mayors across the country in tipping my cap to Jackie Robinson, who broke the MLB's color barrier 75 years ago today. His story inspired generations of players including a young man from Mobile, Alabama named 'Hank' Aaron #MayorsPlayBall #TipYourCapJackie75

”Today, my administration will formally submit its redistricting plan to the City Council. Setting electoral districts cuts at the heart of democracy, which is why we began this process with the commitment to provide unprecedented transparency and achieve fair representation.
The proposed map establishes four districts with Black voters as the majority, which means that four out of the seven City Council districts contain a Black majority in total and voter population.
