🌎In 2019 at the first ever Global #RefugeeForum🇺🇳, mayors were on the sidelines. In 2023, they’re sitting along with member states as participants in their own right!
Mayors are betting on inclusion. MMC’s $3M Global Cities Fund backs @CityOfBoston (@MayorWu), Kanifing (@mayorKMC), Koboko (#WilsonSanya), Manta (@MarciValdivieso), @QCGov (#JoyBelmonte) & @CityTorino (@Lorusso_Stefano) to turn migration into opportunity📽️bit.ly/gcf25
This #WorldRefugeeDay, we proudly welcome @MikeJohnstonCO of @CityofDenver to the @MayorMigration Leadership Board—and honor the legacy of @Ron_Nirenberg of @COSAGOV.
Together, they show how mayors can lead with principle despite pressure🌍🏙️
