ALT Conversion practices are abuse – they have no place in Scotland, or anywhere else in the world. Over the last 4 years, we have supported relentless campaigning, been part of countless engagement sessions, and taken part in a consultation – all with the intention to progress a bill in the Scottish Parliament. Exploring a 4 nations approach to ending conversion practices could be beneficial, but this work must be timely to avoid any more delays. Survivors and victims of conversion practices have shared their stories with the Scottish Government in the hope that what happened to them will never happen to anyone else. This cannot be in vain and cannot be lost in the process of working with Westminster. Each day that these abusive practices remain legal, our communities are put at risk. We hope to work with both the Scottish Government and the UK Government to see comprehensive, fully inclusive legislation that has no loopholes – bringing an end to conversion practices once and for all.

ALT Screenshot of a tweet in which someone claims that "BBC Scotland has photoshopped an image of Nicola Sturgeon waving on day one of the SNP conference in Oct 2018 onto a picture of the Glasgow Airport Aspire Lounge". They have helpfully cropped off the "Getty Images" credit, but you can still find the original and indeed genuine image from 2015 by searching online - link in tweet.
