Feel like tons of people just don't get game development and assume Armored Core not immediately getting DLC or a game announced means it's abandoned We already know from people like Ogura that AC6 never had DLC planned for it from the get-go like modern Fromsoft games. Implies they literally had no clue if it would be any more well received than Gen 5 so they didn't plan DLC. Game's success is actually probably why we even got the Lammergeier set and a couple of new weapons in a free update since those may have been initially cut due to time. After AC6's launch and great reception, Fromsoft began hiring more mecha designers. So any work to make new content would take awhile since it'd be from 0. And if it's completely from the start, why not just make a full new game and really expand on what 6 set up? Add in modern game development and Fromsoft queuing up their releases instead of overlapping, and you got a new AC/Mecha game at minimum taking another 1-2 years. Armored Core 6 by all rights actually had no right to be made if you compared historical AC sales to what Souls were doing for Fromsoft, so it's literally here as a labor of love. Miyazaki also literally said they had plenty more to do with Armored Core so just let them cook lol
