76 Jawans Martyred in Dantewada. But Whose Tears Made Headlines?
From Bastar, PM @narendramodi questioned the silence of the privileged during decades of Naxal violence.
Remember Batla House? Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma laid down his life fighting terrorists.
Yet, in 2012, Congress leader Salman Khurshid publicly claimed that Sonia Gandhi wept after seeing photographs of the encounter.
Khurshid later disputed that account, but the controversy remains a reminder of a question worth asking:
Why must the sacrifices of our security personnel never become secondary to political narratives?
Rajdeep Sardesai has a knack of vomiting all his bullcrap on Hindu festivals, but can you spot a single word of similar gyan on Eid? You won’t , rather he can be seen relishing all the meaty treats Eid has to offer!
Perils of secularism…
Rajdeep @sardesairajdeep calls himself a journalist, but bats every Tom, Kejriwal and Harry who speaks against the BJP.
He’s crediting Rahul Gandhi for making Vote Chori a national issue, where Rahul Gandhi has said in his Nov 1 rally that 2024 elections were stolen too.
However, not once did Rajdeep give a counter that Gyanesh Kumar was appointed in 2025, so where did the Vote Chori in 2024 take place.
Ill informed journalist, full blown propagandist - Rajdeep Sardesai
A Diwali Gift from The Hindu and N. Ram to the Darbar - A Golden Opportunity to Whitewash the Gandhi Dynasty's Darkest Chapters!
A grand front-page introduction, followed by a full-page interview with @SoniaGandhi . What a generous platform for the Darbar to attempt a little historical cleansing!
The Emergency gets a fascinating makeover.
Sanjay Gandhi and Indira's senior colleagues become convenient repositories of blame. Rajiv Gandhi emerges as the conscientious dissenter. And Indira Gandhi, who presided over the suspension of democratic freedoms, is portrayed as the benevolent saviour who called the 1977 elections!
Blame for imposing the Emergency is conveniently distributed. Credit for ending it goes entirely to Indira Gandhi.
And how thoughtfully @nramind appears to have forgotten another rather uncomfortable chapter!
Rajiv Gandhi's infamous “जब बड़ा पेड़ गिरता है, तो धरती हिलती है” remark, made in the aftermath of the 1984 anti-Sikh massacres, in which Congress leaders and workers were implicated.
Not a question about that remark? Not a question about the massacre or the Congress leadership's responsibility?
Apparently, such inconvenient history doesn't fit comfortably into a carefully curated love story.
And @the_hindu packages this exercise under the romantic headline, “How a love story developed into a deep belonging to India.”
How touching! How convenient!
Mr. Ram, journalism is supposed to interrogate power, not provide the powerful with a luxurious platform to rehabilitate their family legacy.
The Emergency cannot be whitewashed by glorifying Indira Gandhi. Nor can the bloodstains of 1984 be washed away by conveniently looking elsewhere.
From watchdog of democracy to a platform for the Darbar's image makeover — what an extraordinary editorial spectacle!
Dalal Ravish “Stop reducing everything to elections. This is not about politics — it’s about how this government actually governs.
Modi government consults, observes, responds and continuously reforms on the basis of ground feedback and outcomes. Not ideology.
Same approach that:
• Took 4 years of consultation before implementing the Labour Codes
• Continuously rationalised GST rates (400+ items) after real feedback
• Walked out of RCEP when it didn’t serve Indian interests, then pursued calibrated FTAs
Agnipath is no different. The armed forces themselves said a 4-year term ends just when Agniveers become maximally useful.
They recommended a voluntary 2-year second tour based on performance and operational need. Veterans highlighted the civilian transition gap. Government listened and acted.
25% direct absorption stays. Standards stay. This is evolutionary reform, exactly as promised from day one.
MS SUNETRA CHOUDHURY, DID YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND AGNIPATH BEFORE DISCOVERING ITS “ROLLBACK”?
Since when did extending the duration of a scheme become equivalent to scrapping it?
A journalist with years of experience, and now Political Editor at Hindustan Times, should surely understand this elementary distinction!
Let's make it simpler.
Extension means CONTINUATION. Rollback means REVERSAL.
The Agnipath Scheme was always meant to evolve based on feedback from the Armed Forces.
In January 2024, Gen Manoj Pande spoke about addressing implementation issues. In March 2025, Gen Upendra Dwivedi described Agnipath as an “evolutionary process” and pointed to December 2026 for reviewing retention numbers.
Now, when longer service is being proposed, you suddenly discover a rollback?
By that extraordinary logic, extending a highway means demolishing it, and extending a deadline means cancelling the examination!
And where exactly does a proposed additional two-year engagement automatically translate into permanent retention of every Agniveer?
Ms Choudhury, before questioning whether the Government understands its own scheme, perhaps establish whether you've understood the difference between a second engagement and permanent absorption.
A policy review isn't a policy defeat. And a question mark at the end of a misleading narrative doesn't magically turn it into intelligent journalism!
From 75% being retired, now all will stay on- all soldiers will have offers to continue in armed forces. So is it a rollback of #agniveers without saying it is a rollback?

INDIA TODAY OR CONGRESS PROPAGANDA DEPARTMENT? THE DARBAR TOOLKIT IS ALMOST WRITING ITSELF!
Rahul Gandhi's Ramlila Maidan rally is over, but the desperate exercise to manufacture a success story is in full swing!
And look at the remarkable synchronisation among the media's Darbari brigade!
@sardesairajdeep : Electoral impact uncertain, but suddenly discovers a rejuvenated Congress Seva Dal!
@PreetiChoudhry : Goes several steps further. Packed grounds, Rahul's leadership endorsed, impressive mobilisation, unprecedented unity, energised cadres. Practically a Congress press release masquerading as political analysis!
@Scribe_Rahul : Even more inventive! Crowd numbers don't matter anymore. Apparently, the real achievement is the vibrancy and creativity of Congress workers!
Notice the common script?
When crowd numbers become inconvenient, shift the goalposts to cadre mobilisation. When political impact is questionable, celebrate organisational revival. When electoral success is nowhere in sight, manufacture a psychological victory!
And the Seva Dal somehow becomes the star attraction of this extraordinary journalistic chorus!
Three commentators. One rally. Strikingly similar attempts to turn an Opposition event into a grand political resurgence.
Was there a common briefing? The extraordinary similarity certainly deserves an explanation.
The Darbar doesn't even need to issue a press release when its cheerleaders are competing to write one!
Journalism or political rehabilitation of Shehzada?
At this rate, @IndiaToday might as well reserve a permanent desk for the Congress publicity department!
India isn't just setting clean energy targets. It's achieving them ahead of schedule! 🇮🇳
Under PM @narendramodi's leadership, India has crossed the historic milestone of 50% non-fossil fuel capacity in its installed electricity mix - FIVE YEARS ahead of its 2030 commitment!
A remarkable achievement for a rapidly growing economy with soaring energy demands.
That's the Modi model - ambitious commitments, accelerated execution and results ahead of deadlines!
Dalal media is still running Rahul Gandhi’s “2024 election was stolen” line.
Bhai, the 13 crore names he is crying about were deleted in 2025.
2024 ke election ko 2025 ke deletions se chori kaise ho gayi?
Time machine launched or what?
Rahul said it. Media amplified it. Neither checked the year.
Independent media in India is basically one big political family WhatsApp group.
@Nidhi marries Omar Abdullah, @sardesairajdeep’s wife Sagarika becomes TMC MP, @ravish_journo’s brother fights on Congress ticket, Pranoy Roy’s family is linked to Brinda Karat, Amrita is married to Digvijay Singh… the list keeps going.
But the moment someone doesn’t sing from the same sheet? Instantly labelled “Godi Media”.
The double standards are almost impressive.
ABP NEWS… SERIOUSLY? IS THIS JOURNALISM OR CONGRESS'S OVERSEAS PROPAGANDA DESK?
Meet Poonam Joshi, who proudly flaunts her association with @ABPNews as a Foreign Correspondent. But one look at her timeline raises a rather uncomfortable question: Is she reporting the news or auditioning for a position in Congress's communications department?
When visuals of empty chairs at Congress's Ramlila Maidan rally surface, she doesn't question the turnout. Instead, she rushes to defend the spectacle, suggesting the footage must be from Modi's rally!
When confronted with the embarrassing attendance, she suddenly discovers that even ONE person standing at Ramlila Maidan can bring about a revolution. From a supposedly massive people's movement to the revolutionary potential of ONE attendee. What an extraordinary downgrade in expectations!
And then comes the real gem.
This self-appointed guardian of journalistic ethics lectures others about misinformation, enthusiastically amplifies Saurav Das's obnoxious attack on a fellow journalist, and even writes that the man will "see his fate" once Modi is no longer in power.
Is that journalism, Ms Joshi, or a thinly veiled political warning?
The irony is positively Shakespearean. A journalist denouncing propaganda while displaying precisely the partisan instincts she claims to despise!
@ABPNews, your correspondent is perfectly entitled to her political preferences. But when someone publicly identifies with your newsroom while behaving like an unofficial Congress spokesperson, the distinction between independent journalism and political cheerleading becomes embarrassingly difficult to discern.
Perhaps it's time to clarify whether ABP stands for independent journalism or whether Congress has acquired an honorary foreign bureau without anyone noticing.
The press card says Journalist. The timeline tells a rather different story.
The mainstream media may not highlight the irony, but here’s the reality: Congress is busy staging a Mock Parliament while the country has a real one.
Perhaps they should make it a permanent setup. Given the way Rahul Gandhi and his colleagues are turning parliamentary politics into political theatre, this could be the only Parliament where he gets to play Prime Minister!
Some political realities are too uncomfortable for prime-time debates. 😂
A labourer faces inhuman treatment because of apartheid nature of a society triggers Arfa to abuse Hinduism. The same Islamist @khanumarfa who’s an expert in securing her religion first by calling them non-Muslims whenever any terrorist attack happens.
350 livestock animals. ₹20–25 lakh annual income. And a remarkable story of rural prosperity! 🇮🇳
In Banaskantha, Gujarat, a woman farmer proudly shares her family's success story with PM @narendramodi.
From embracing modern farming techniques and drone technology to expanding animal husbandry, her journey reflects the transformation taking place in rural India.
This is the real impact of Modi's vision - empowering women, modernising agriculture and turning farming families into successful rural entrepreneurs.
When women farmers themselves narrate such success stories, development speaks louder than any political slogan! ❤️
A BIG LEAP TOWARDS INDIA’S NUCLEAR ENERGY FUTURE! 🇮🇳
Under PM @narendramodi ’s leadership, India is taking significant strides towards energy security and self-reliance!
At the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave 2026, PM Modi highlighted the crucial role of fast breeder reactors in India’s nuclear expansion.
With the 500 MWe Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor achieving first criticality, India is advancing towards an ambitious target of 100 GW nuclear power capacity by 2047, from the current 8.8 GW!
From technological self-reliance to energy independence, PM Modi is laying the foundation for a Viksit Bharat!
Dalal @sardesairajdeep You’re selectively quoting the affidavit while ignoring what the ECI actually said.
All three Election Commissioners unanimously approved the counter-affidavit.
All three major SIR orders were also passed unanimously.
Internal suggestions and queries during decision-making are normal in a multi-member body. They do not constitute a decision.
Form 6 was never amended. The additional declaration is a separate verification document, not a change to the statutory form. The Commission has clarified this repeatedly.
The internal work-allocation order that the two Election Commissioners objected to on 28 July was never implemented.
A newspaper report is not evidence. The petitioner never verified the claims with the ECI before going to court. And the Constitution does not allow the CEC to be restrained.
The facts are on record.
IMPORTANT: ECI TELLS SC in an affidavit:
During decision-making process, any suggestion, observation or query by the Chief Election Commissioner or the Election Commissioners either to other Election Commissioner / Chief Election Commissioner or to any officer of the Commission - does not constitute a decision of the Election Commission under Section 18 of the 2023 Act.
BUT what ECI doesn’t say is that one of the ECs on record called the decision on Form 6 ‘illegal’ and ‘unauthorised’. So how was an ‘illegal’ ‘unauthorised’ decision pushed through? More at 9 pm tonight. On @IndiaToday
“India wants to lead, compete, build, innovate and have its voice heard.”
Former England captain and ace cricketer Kevin Pietersen’s observations on India under PM Narendra Modi make for an interesting read.
He writes about how Indian sport has evolved, with fitness, preparation and professionalism transforming the way our athletes compete globally. From cricket to wrestling, shooting, boxing and badminton, we have seen Indian athletes make their presence felt on the world stage. His observation that “the standards around fitness, preparation and professionalism have changed enormously” rings particularly true.
He also highlights yoga’s journey from India’s ancient heritage to a global movement, and the efforts to protect wildlife, including the return of cheetahs and conservation initiatives for big cats.
Perhaps his most interesting observation is that India is pursuing rapid economic growth while protecting its natural heritage.
Now for the irony: how often do our self-appointed intellectuals and sections of the Indian media devote the same column inches, prime-time debates and analytical energy to these positive developments? Criticism is essential in a democracy, but a worldview that acknowledges only failures and dismisses every achievement is hardly intellectual honesty.
Apparently, finding fault with India is analysis; acknowledging its progress is somehow propaganda.
It’s time to step out of the studio bubble and witness real grassroots development, @ravish_journo. Or is acknowledging ground-level empowerment too heavy for the narrative?"
Real development is when opportunities come to your hometown, empowering women to rise from grassroot challenges to leadership roles.
This is the true face of Aatmanirbhar Bharat under PM Modi’s vision!
Toolkit minions of foreign funding at work - @sardesairajdeep and @PreetiChoudhry whitewashing funding received by Rihanna and Mia Khalifa during farmers’ protests by saying anybody can hire influencers. Even Greta Thunberg revealed the toolkit by posting it online, which gets brushed off by these Congressi stooges.
