Does your degree determine your career? Not according to Adesegun.
He studied Microbiology, started his career in IT project management, and never planned to work in tax. Today, he leads Tax for Sub-Saharan Africa at BAT and is also the co-founder of a film production company.
Is there really a good drug rehabilitation center in Nigeria? One that truly rehabilitates where the people do not come out worse than when they got there?
Ever since my friend taught me how to prevent my food from drying out in the microwave, any small thing now, I place a wet paper towel on my food before microwaving it. And it really works…

Normal people feel guilty when they hurt someone. Narcissists just get mad you’re not clapping for them anymore.

I don’t trust people who have this incessant need to be seen as good. It becomes more important than their willingness to examine what they’ve done. So they’ll always try to defend it. Sometimes tolerate being the person who was wrong.

One of the healthiest habits anyone could learn is training yourself not to talk too much.
I’m looking to work with an experienced designer on a book project.
Ideally someone with experience in editorial design, typography, art books and print publications.
Please share a link to your portfolio in the replies. I’ll reach out directly to shortlisted designers.
Do you have a go-to person in your career?
Someone you can call when work gets confusing?
Someone to ask: "Am I doing this right?"
Over time, I've seen the same problem.
Young graduates and early career professionals in accounting and finance are stuck.
They face real issues at work and have no one to ask.
They make career decisions blindly.
They are talented, but isolated.
No mentor, no clarity and no direction.
If that's you, worry no more.
I'm building a community for young graduates and early career starters in Accounting & Finance.
A place to get clarity, learn practical skills, and get guidance from people who have been there.
It's called The Job-Ready Accountant.

I hope you remember that God is still with you, even on the days when your prayers seem to go unanswered. When waiting feels exhausting, and when your faith feels too tired to carry you. May you find comfort in knowing that His silence is not necessarily His absence, and that even when you cannot make sense of how things are unfolding, you are not forgotten.
When you consider an action, think about its consequences.
When you examine a cause, consider its effects.
When you pursue a reward, weigh the risks.
Good decisions require you to look beyond what you stand to gain and consider what you stand to lose.
Team talk today and while describing Nigeria, one of the things I said is that our fashion is spectacular and the best dressed African in the room is likely to be a Nigerian. Now my team members have said they will be looking out for me at our christmas party🙈

One of the most beautiful things you can do for yourself is believe that good things are still coming, Even when life feels uncertain Even when there's no result.
One of the most powerful things you can remember is that you've already made it through a LOT.
Even in the moments you once thought you wouldn't.
You can always begin again and choose hope anytime..
