Happy Pi Day! #POVmath #mathisbeautiful

Day made. ☺️

Happy National Field Hockey Day! My time on the field had a profound impact on who I am as a person and teacher. Field Hockey taught me resilience, patience, team work, sacrifice, progress over perfection and to pursue lofty goals…just to name a few. Thanks, field hockey. 😊

Yesterday was Day 1 of Year 16 in Education and was another whirlwind of a day filled with smiles and excitement as we welcomed students back. This sweet message from my dad was the best start. ☺️

Aaaaand we’re done! Wrapped up the year-long Education Administration Endorsement program with Longwood today. I have learned, evolved, and grown my leadership skill set far beyond the expectations I had this time last year. 🙂

Honored to have been chosen as POV’s Teacher of the Year. Blessed to be celebrated by family, friends, and co-workers. Lucky to have been surrounded, inspired, and built up by wonderful teacher friends and mentors for my 15 years in education. Thanks everyone! ☺️

I loved walking into @KerleyCues class this morning to see these two buddies reading together during morning arrival. There’s already such a warm and inviting classroom culture. ☺️ @PointOViewES #povmath

Honored and humbled. Grateful to also work alongside and be led by other passionate colleagues. @PointOViewES @VBMathRocks

I love that one of my teachers came to find me to show off how her kiddos have done on a traditionally difficult skill. Ratio tables have proven to be a great strategy for finding equivalent measurements! #brightspots #POVmath @PointOViewES

It's been a challenging and demanding year but our teachers at POV have adapted to meet the needs of our students...here are just a few of the bright spots we've seen recently! #povmath

Bernie is joining in on Math PLCs at POV today. #berniemittens

Day 9: Virtual teaching and learning everyday with the best co-workers, my sister @SarahRoutsis and kindergartner niece, means laughs and smiles all day long....especially when you’re 5 and learn how to tie your shoes and spell “butt” all in one day. 😜#VBkind #12DaysTwitter

Day 8: My aunt served up peppermint cheesecake for Our Christmas Eve dinner back when I was a kid and it has been a hit since. I can’t wait to make it and eat it for our smaller, immediate family only, Christmas Eve gathering this year. #vbkind #12DaysTwitter

“My biggest wish this season is...” that the recent rollout of vaccines means we’ve turned the tide with the pandemic. #VBKind #12DaysTwitter

Day 6: Shout out to my Math Nerd ladies, @kAteach81 @nancy_estepa @MathWithMakky @VBPearsonmath for being incredible people, friends, and collaborators since our cohort days...and @bartirwin22 for putting this crazy crew together! #VBKind #12DaysTwitter
