So I have had a business and property in France for 12 years. France is now where Canada will probably be in 5 years .. (Iβm Canadian with business in 4 places , US , Canada ,France and China .)same type of government, same socialist attitudes .. same radicalization of students , increasingly far left ideology dominates in schools and universities. Also the word entitlement is very real .. the French feel very entitled and unfortunately will not tolerate ( they will riot ) if any of their entitlement is cut .
But France has something that Canada , US and China donβt have .. in the same measure ,a very negative attitude to business and entrepreneurs, wealth etc.. the French are very jealous .. in the majority they think if you have wealth you must be a crook..
The problem with this overall attitude and Socialism in general.. is in order to redistribute wealth ( which is what taxation is) you need to create wealth .. that means you need to produce things of value .. the government produces nothing ..
It redistributes.. human wants are unlimited.. but if you choke off the ability to produce , through very high taxation, crazy labor laws and a hostility to business you get an imbalance between what the government can provide ( which the population feels entitled to) and what the economy can produce . The solution to the imbalance has been borrowing.. But itβs a bit like a family .. you can spend more than you make by running up credit cards but at one point it catches up with you ..
The problem for France ( unlike Canada,US and China) is the French government canβt print Euros ..
( that was part of the fundamental European Union deal ..) This will not end well for France and probably the EU central bank will have to buy French debt at some point ( print money ) because unlike Greece , France is too big to fail without bringing down the whole EU experiment.. I love France and there are many positive things about the country .. but they are in for a rough ride ( and Marine Le Pen while better on migration isnβt going to fundamentally solve anything)

Over the last two days I went on Fox News and Newsmax to warn Americans about what's happening in France. Today, the images speak for themselves.
October 17, 2026. In Marseille, France's second-largest city, a mob smashed through the doors of City Hall and stormed the lobby chanting "It's the revolution, we're taking the Bastille." Shortly before, rioters had trashed a municipal police station, breaking windows and throwing smoke bombs inside. Shops on the main avenue were vandalized and barricades were set on fire. In Paris, masked black bloc crews fired mortar fireworks at police at Place de la RΓ©publique while tear gas filled the square. There were 166 arrests nationwide by midday and more than 600 protests across the country, after weeks of blockaded high schools. The Yellow Vests are back.
Now here's what every American needs to understand. What are these people demanding? More: higher wages, higher pensions, more public spending, more state. That's in a country where the government already spends more than half of everything the economy produces.
This isn't an accident. It's where 45 years of socialism lead. Since 1981, left or right, every French government has grown the state. Macron is just the final, most polished version of the same system.
Socialism doesn't create prosperity. It creates dependency. When people rely on the state for everything, every disappointment turns into anger at the state. And the state cannot allocate capital. It doesn't risk its own money, and it never goes bankrupt when it's wrong. It just borrows more and taxes more. Productivity stalls, wages stagnate and prices rise. Then people take to the streets demanding even more state. The loop feeds itself until it breaks.
America, watch closely. If the Democrats fully embrace socialism, this is the trailer for what comes next. History is accelerating. It took France decades to get here. It won't take you nearly as long.
Vote for less government, never more.
