❗️ More than half a million credentials leaked on GitHub turned out to still work, and the oldest was committed 17 years ago.
Researchers found 543,699 of them across 224 million public repos, where the median working secret was 784 days old.
npm revokes leaked tokens, so just 1 of 101,886 still worked. Of 126,963 leaked Google Cloud service account credentials, more than half still did.

I am amazed but also feel a little uneasy. My 17 yo son is working part time at @OldNavy and part of his job is to sell Old Navy loyalty credit card. Whatever training Old Navy is doing, it is working. my son is locked in and turned into a passionate credit card salesman.
He totally has it gamified in his head. To the point, He uses GenAI and created comic book stories by inspiring @Blue_Lock_En the Japanese anime séries that takes place the world of soccer ⚽️ (so some of the references may have lost to you) but holy moly, I This is what a teenage can do with AI in one evening. 🤯
