Restitution is what needs to happen! Someone being “punished” does nothing for me. I want the injury to be remedied, and if that’s not possible, I want an admittance of responsibility and accountability going forward. I want my humanity to be recognized.

Maybe I’m too nice but idk I feel weird when people talk about others this way like credit card companies don’t depend on this behavior in order to make money, it’s designed so that people are exploited. I’m sorry that not everyone acts perfectly rational financially.

My ex-coworker and I had the debit/credit card conversation and she kept saying "they tricked me, they played me, they gave me so much money and I swiped that shit on everything back then and now I have so much debt, they got me. Never get a credit card." And I was just staring.
