Every token with buybacks should instantly re-rate on this
Delayed reaction bc it's Friday afternoon most likely

We are all in a war and Ethereum will win.
Vitalik is doubling down on Ethereum and ETH by investing $30M into the most ambitious Ethereum roadmap efforts.
What’s CT’s reaction?
“Bros dumping” 🤡🙇♂️🤦♂️
The only founder who’s this painfully transparent and he gets sacked on CT everytime instead of hiding behind undisclosed wallets. I truthfully wish he operated like the Solana Foundation at times, zero disclosures have served them well (and every other alt L1).
I need a fucking mental health break from this clown industry and the gaslighting but I’m not a little bitch who needs a mental health break like so many of you entitled brats.
Yesterday I read accusations, Vitalik was selling ETH for:
+ DEI grants
+ a mansion
+ just cuz he lost faith
Every other L1 founder has undisclosed wallets and dumps in the shadows on your head, with zero repercussions. This man isn’t perfect but he communicated this in advance, not that everyone has to be aware but JFC you just cannot win this industry of whiny, helpless, entitled clown investors.
We are all in war mode.
Ethereum will win.
I personally will not be satisfied until most of your alt-L1 investments go to zero, where their FMV is.
The SEC tweeting out Chairman Paul Atkins' remarks on "DeFi and the American Spirit" -- you love to see it... still hard to believe the trauma of the Gary Gensler SEC is behind us.
Great stuff here by @BrandonFerrick.
NTIs (Non-custodial Trading Interfaces) "act solely as technological, deterministic, and non-discretionary tools that enable users to understand and communicate with decentralized trading protocols" and are not brokers because they "do not in themselves intermediate trades, solicit transactions, control or take custody of user assets, or exercise control over the underlying protocol."
Fully agree that we need to make it clear that developers of this type of user interface should not be subject to burdensome regulatory obligations. We need smart, practical definitions like this to get into our legislation and regulatory frameworks.
As someone who’s been in the crypto industry since 2013, one of the simplest yet most challenging questions I’ve faced is how to think about noncustodial trading interfaces. Do operators or developers of these NTIs have any regulatory obligations? Ideally not.
I’m thrilled to finally have an opportunity to voice my opinion on the question in an effort to make a real change and provide a long-awaited answer. Today, I’ve submitted written comments to @SECGov’s crypto task force in an effort to make clear that NTIs—and folks developing or operating them—have no obligations under the securities laws to register as a broker or an exchange. NTIs serve simply as informational tools and technology layers that make communicating with blockchain systems easier.
@HesterPeirce looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

This is good framing. Decentralization promotes transparency, censorship resistance, autonomy, efficiency, privacy, fairness, and inclusivity (permissionlessness), and sovereignty, among other things. All reasons why I continue to be a decentralization maxi.
“You cannot become great by just being another sheep.”
True.
If you're reading this, you are deep in the trenches - deeper than 99.999% of the world.
You see things that others don't.
So, trust what you know to be true.
Leverage the information asymmetry.
Make decisions based on that - not based on the consensus of the herd.
Become an outlier, or suffer the inevitable fate of mediocrity.
By definition, you cannot become 'great' by being just another sheep.
Good (and correct imo) analysis here @CryptoTaxGuyETH
Some of the accountants responding to this post are right-ish...for the wrong reasons.
ETH deposited to Aave is NOT loan collateral. Loan issuers remain tax owners of their collateral. Aave depositors DON'T remain tax owners of their ETH, bc Aave onlends it.
Depositing ETH into Aave nevertheless should not be a tax event, for the same reason securities loans are not tax events: because depositors can reacquire ETH on demand by redeeming their aETH, aETH is not "materially different in kind or in extent" from ETH, which is the threshold for a tax event.
Btw, because borrow fees on Aave are not interest, they generally are miscellaneous itemized deductions to individuals, and therefore are nondeductible, same as securities borrow fees.
Yes
Yes. Let’s bring back these vibes plz
This damn muppet thinks it was “the industry” made crypto political. Lmao
The politicization of crypto was the dumbest move the industry ever made.
Decentralized technology is, and should be seen as apolitical.
The ability to self-custody funds is so key to both sides. The right for self-sovereignty, and the left for fair access and removing middle man exploitation.
Fair access to banking was a Democratic talking point for decades.
Warren in a lack of understanding and ignorance attacked this space, and the space stupidly swung waaaay too hard the other way.
Now it’s associated with the President’s grift and a political party, that make it broadly disliked.
And the minimal gains it earned from new policy will cost years of rebuilding good will and perception.
“Ethereum is for mfers who wanna live on the edge - and explore whole new worlds of digital culture - and economic experiences…”
Good thread here. I think the most hated eth rally happens at some point in this cycle…so placing bets accordingly.
Once the market revalues ethereum - when investors are supplied the proper information and education - there will be no denying the supremacy of $ETH the universal digital apex asset of the new underground digital economy
Huge for crypto in the US - imagine, a commission actually focused on helping the industry rather than doing everything in its power to prevent it from advancing
SEC announces new crypto task force led by @HesterPeirce to come up with tailored and well-informed crypto policy.
A sea change compared to the last 4 years.
We look forward to working with the Commission in helping crypto founders obtain the clarity they've long sought.
