This morning, it was announced that the 2023 @American_Girl Doll of the Year, Kavi Sharma, is from . . . Metuchen! Here’s a quote from American Girl’s press release:

While @MetuchenNJ was sleeping, I had the honor of swearing-in our new @MetuchenPDChief, Arthur Flaherty. Chief Flaherty took his oath at midnight.

Hope you can join us for the Gulton Project Open House scheduled for Thursday, March 24 from 7pm to 10pm at Metuchen High School. With this open house format, the event is designed for people to come and go as they please. – at Metuchen, NJ

The announcement of a new redevelopment plan for the Gulton site is the culmination of decades of our attempts to revitalize the property. We look forward to discussing the benefits of @MetuchenNJ’s first-ever PILOT project as we move forward. Learn more @ youtu.be/SevzU-8LJkA – at Metuchen, NJ

We are deeply appreciative of the close relationship that we continue to have with our State officials, who have worked to get us millions of dollars in grant monies for a number of important Borough projects over just the last few years.

With the help of @GovMurphy & our State Legislators, we've received a $575K grant to make major pedestrian & accessibility improvements on New between Main & Pearl (ex:new sidewalks, improved curbing, flashing stop signs & flashing pedestrian signals. tapinto.net/towns/edison/art…

Last night, we promoted Sgt. Bo Keane, accepted the retirement of long time Sgt. Jim Burns & welcomed new officer Aurel Louis. We appreciate the service of Sgt. Burns & we’re excited for our Dept’s future with the likes of Sgt. Keane and Officer Louis.

My family & I wish you & your family a very happy Lunar New Year! Join us on 2/12 as @MetuchenNJ celebrates Lunar New Year with a very special downtown event. We're proud of the diversity of our friends, family & neighbors and look forward to celebrating together.
