Zachary Rackham? Felicia Winters? Never heard of them. Don’t waste your vote on a fool! Cast your vote for a Man of the People(tm)! Vote for El Prez for Federation President! 😏 #EliteDangerous

I was offered the chance to be misquoted in The Daily Mail. But I declined. I wish you all a terrific day. Remember, you may not have long left. So think of your life in that way. And cheer the fuck up.

This happened last night in Northern Norway 🤩 That night, I saw (three times!) the reddest northern lights of my life! Still processing the thousands of photos :)

My car broke down last year - the clutch gave out. I tried passing a law making it illegal for my car to stop working, tried suing it, tried arresting it and tried sacking it. Turned out that I needed to spend money maintaining and fixing it. Who knew...

Not a joke tweet but I genuinely believe learning to mend clothes should be mandatory in schools. As should mending, and up cycling. The number of people I know that wouldn’t even think to use super glue… People need to experience the buzz of fixing things and get the bug.

Sad news that Walt Cunningham has died. An Apollo astronaut and therefore a legend - but also, in the few times I met him including a memorable episode of Stargazing Live - he was great fun!
Farewell and thank you Walt Cunningham. NASA astronaut & Apollo 7’s Lunar Module Pilot, the first of the Apollo crews to fly and just 20 months after the Apollo 1 fire. Ad Astra, Per Aspera. #NASA #Apollo

For those who don't fully understand what is up with the NHS, here is a thread for you that might help. I'm a consultant physician working as a doctor in the NHS in Yorkshire and Wales for 32 years now. I have experienced the NHS at its best (2008) and its worst (2022).

It's indefensible for the BBC to keep inviting Julia Hartley-Brewer onto #bbcqt: she's a climate-denier whose only credential is as a Murdoch mouthpiece & reliable clickbait. They don’t invite flat-earthers on, so why climate-deniers? The BBC should do much better. >RT,to agree!

If the General Election is held on May 2nd 2024, that just 566 days away. Or to put it another way, still time for 14 more Chancellors of the Exchequer.

One of the reasons Lynch has cut through with so much of the public is the fact that he’s so obviously goal-driven. There’s clearly robust political ideology at his core but his focus is on achieving resolution & improvement for his members. It insulates him from lazy caricature.
"And if somebody wants to meet you and shake your hand, that's a positive start. It's a better way to conduct business than just slagging each other off." @RMTunion Mick Lynch talking to @SophyRidgeSky and comparing and contrasting @annietrev with @grantshapps
