Those “low budget schools” get that opportunity in every other NCAA sport except football.

G6 should come together and sue for anti-trust, lack of representation. No other tournament in NCAA lacks this representation except the CFP.
Sources have told @Clowfb, @Brett_McMurphy and me for @On3 that a 24-team CFP would mean:
+ 19 at-large bids
+ Auto bid for the top Power Four, Group of 6 champions
+ More CFP games on campus

Seriously, if we’re going to 24 teams then all 10 conferences should get an automatic bid. That leaves 14 at-large bids to fill with SEC and B1G teams. The 6th place SEC teams has no business in a playoff.
Breaking: The College Football Playoff is nearing a deal to expand to 24 teams, sources tell @PeteThamel.
The new format will start in 2027 and is expected to come together in the near future, pending final approvals.

Paying for offers. Contracts in perpetuity. Buying scouting reports.
High school football recruiting has become a breeding ground for "street agents" to profit off unsuspecting families. How does it happen?
“They get caught up in the dream."

Marshall fans are classy

Brad dropped $50,000,000 so kids could go to school for free. He could buy the SBC and AAC (not ACC there Gutherie) if he wanted.
Go back to the garage where you belong, because you sir, are a tool.
We really need to stop pretending Marshall has the finances and facilities to make it attractive to the ACC. The entry fee alone is 60% of Marshall’s entire athletic budget and I don’t think there’s a donor that’s capable of writing checks for the entry fee and SBC exit fee.

A look at athletic department budgets:
American Average: $60,588,811
Sun Belt Average: $46,246,195
James Madison: $78,640,115
JMU's athletic budget is $18.1M (29.8%) higher than the American average.
The Sun Belt average includes JMU, which spends $18M more than the conference's next highest school, Old Dominion.

This story is a year old, but a Ohio University is likely the top candidate to replace JMU in the Sun Belt. They want to be there and it makes sense. sports.yahoo.com/article/rep…
Speaking of Texas State, JMU’s move to the AAC makes me wonder why the Bobcats didn’t pursue a move to the AAC instead of the PAC-12. Starting to think that might have been a better fit. #txst #EatEmUp #texasstate
I think CFB underestimates AAC money. I’d have to double check, but researched this last year when Texas State went to the PAC-12. The AAC pays $7M per school as part of its TV revenue share. That’s a big difference compared to the $500,000 JMU got from the Sun Belt.
I kinda expected this. … they have the finances (7th largest athletic budget among G6 schools), the facilities and $1 million in NIL money.
