Last night a number of us spoke to people going in to watch the NAZA film at Phoenix Cinema.
We asked viewers to take a QR code which directed them to a second documentary, one that presents an alternative view.
Many people took the flyer and said they would watch the documentary, but some rejected the idea outright, deciding ahead of time that it would be 'all lies'.

Oscar-winning ex-BBC producer Lucie Kon reveals horrific antisemitic treatment. Right after October 7 a BBC colleague said āZionists are evilā and if she wanted to call the massacre an act of terror then Israel must be labelled a āterror Stateā. This is still going on. Shameful.

Thanks to everyone who joined us this evening outside Phoenix Cinema to talk to people going in to watch NAZA.
All we asked of viewers was to be open-minded enough to watch the alternative view. We shared a leaflet with a QR code to find the free film.
Many people took the flyer and said they would watch the documentary, but some rejected the idea outright, deciding ahead of time that it would be 'all lies'.
And of course, as is increasingly the way nowadays, the venue called the police.
Reassuringly, the police had no problem with our presence and many customers were prepared to take a leaflet and keep an open mind.

š¹ "In 1936, it was the left that came to the rescue of the Jews. 2026, it's sadly the left who are strongly opposed to the Jews."
Michael Bennett was a young child, sitting on his father's shoulders during the famous Battle of Cable Street. During this year's 90th anniversary he was proud to remember his father being among the crowds who stopped Mosley's Blackshirts, and spoke movingly about it at the Cable Street Jews rally on 4 October.
Yet in the build-up to the anniversary, the organisers of the 'official' march chose to tarnish those like Michael whose relatives fought so bravely at Cable Street, preventing them from joining the Unite march. As Michael says in this clip, many union leaders have taken up anti-Semitic stances, and 'it's just become a kind of cloak that's being put on by the left'.
The full interview with Michael will be available soon.

If Salman Rushdieās fatwa happened today, how many of these signatories would sign a letter supporting him? Most would be too afraid, many would think he deserved it. I doubt Rooney herself would support him.
The comparison is fatuous and disgraceful.
If you ever sought out the novels of Sally Rooney in bookshops ā when that was still possible ā youād know they sit in the fiction stacks adjacent to the novels of another SR whose books have been withdrawn in dastardly political circumstances. Until last week, āRooneyā and āRushdieā had little in common beyond being shelfmates; now they have more than just a physical proximity.

A mother was referred to Prevent and visited by police at home because of her visit to Israel and her interest ināJewish issuesā.
In yet another shocking case, Holly Passmore, a mother of two from County Durham, was visited at home last July by two plain-clothes police officers who wanted to know why she had recently travelled to Israel.
The officers told Ms Passmore, who cares for her severely autistic nine-year-old son, that it was a āsafeguarding issueā.
A police intelligence report seen by The Telegraph reveals that the referral said she āover-identified with the conflict between Israel and Palestineā and was āsupportive of Israel to the point that she has travelled to Israelā. It also described her as having āMHā ā meaning mental health ā issues and being āvulnerable to negative influenceā.
Three days after the visit, Ms Passmore lodged a complaint. Two more officers, including a superintendent, then came to her home.
āThey said that, clearly, Iām not a terrorist,ā she recalled, explaining that they were keen to reassure her that police did not consider her a threat or an extremist.
āI thought that was strange at the time. You donāt usually end up with a superintendent on your couch.ā
Ms Passmoreās concerns deepened when she discovered that her NHS records had been updated to describe her as a āvulnerable adultā, before later being changed to say she was no longer vulnerable.
It is now even more clear that Prevent is being weaponised by activists to silence people for their lawful and legitimate views.
These vexatious complaints also waste police time and resources.
Enough is enough.

I was on a flight to Israel and struck up a conversation with the lady beside me. She was Jewish; her family were Holocaust survivors. As we saw the coastline of Israel from the window, she burst into tears. It was her first time visiting. Tell me again how Jews have no connection to the land of Israel.

CAA has obtained footage which appears to show a Thameslink supervisor downplaying the atrocities which Hamas carried out in Israel on 7th October 2023.
The exchange, which was caught on camera, allegedly occurred after a Jewish member of the public questioned why a different Thameslink staff member was wearing a divisive Palestine badge.
This needless politicisation of public transport has absolutely no influence over the situation in the Middle East ā all it does is make many Jewish Londoners feel deeply uncomfortable.
Our polling shows that a staggering 70% of British Jews would not feel comfortable physically or verbally disclosing their Jewish identity on public transport.
You can see why.

On this day ā 12th October 1285 ā around 180 Jews burned to death whilst hiding at a synagogue during a pogrom in Munich.
Since the early medieval times, Europeās Jews had been subjected to horrific killing sprees and pogroms, fuelled by antisemitic conspiracies like the historic blood libel, which were gaining momentum.
One such case occurred in Munich, Upper Bavaria, which was then part of the Holy Roman Empire. The Jewish community was accused of performing the ritual murder of a Christian child, and drinking his blood.
An angry Christian mob then descended on the synagogue where 180 Jews had sought refuge, and set it on fire, killing those inside.
A later investigation, organised by King Rudolph I, found that the Jews were falsely accused of the blood libel, and the remaining Jewish prisoners were released. Those expelled were allowed to return to Munich two years later.
May their memory be a blessing.
