A new photo shows the six F-35A jets built for Turkey sitting in hangars at Edwards AFB, where they have been stored since late 2019. Ankara was cut from the program over the S-400 purchase after paying around $1.4B toward 100 aircraft.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Greek newspaper Kathimerini that U.S. law blocks the transfer of F-35 jets Turkey has already paid for until the dispute over Ankara's Russian S-400 air defense systems is settled. Rubio said Trump wants Turkey to receive the aircraft.

It just dawned on me that Hegseth is describing the mission of the Office of Net Assessment, which he effectively killed last year.
.@SECWAR “Project Meridian—the future of warfare—is not about developing new strategies or policies. Rather, its purpose is to creatively look into the future and identify the domains we must conquer—and capabilities we must master... to achieve technological and military dominance on the battlefield for decades to come.”

Today’s action revoking access for journalists from CNN, POLITICO, and MSNOW violates the First Amendment. The implications extend beyond these organizations: a standard used to exclude one news outlet because of its coverage could be applied to any outlet in the future. The American people, through a free and independent press, must be able to scrutinize those elected to power, regardless of whether government officials view it favorably.  That’s why courts have repeatedly held that once the White House provides access to journalists, it cannot deny that access arbitrarily or based on the content of their reporting. The WHCA calls on the administration to immediately restore our colleagues' access. - Jacqui Heinrich, WHCA President

WASHINGTON, Sept 18 (Reuters) - The United States, Denmark and Greenland have entered into an agreement that will see the US develop a significant military presence on the island, while prohibiting US adversaries from building their own bases there, Donald Trump said on Friday.

The Kennedy Center’s Grand Foyer is 630' long and 63' high. The crystal chandeliers were hand-blown by @orrefors and an official gift by the Kingdom of @Sweden in 1971. The huge mirrors at left were a gift the Kingdom of @Belgium on behalf of its people and nation.
A detail worth noting in the Kennedy Center madness is a magnificent 12,000 crystal lighting array at the Opera House created by J & L Lobmeyr, who also made chandeliers for the Vienna State Opera and Schönbrunn Palace. It's an official gift from the Republic of Austria, meant as a permanent memorial to President Kennedy.
